We had some guys come in from satellite terminals with empties and running out freight. That was a runaround. Not sure if that helps or not. I guess it would depend on who runs primary
Unless your on the east coast, we vegitate in the skanky motel room while the bid drivers go out first. Then we get called to go out at 2am, ugh
We need more info.....what time does your run leave? Or is it an open time? What are your local work rules regarding bids, if there are any? What are your options when you get canceled? It sounds like it is runaround to me but some areas are different. No need to get disgusted because it sounds like free money to me. Also, keep in mind that the grievance procedure isn't real fast.
driver(pvd) was heading to lcp. This is starting to happen alot. Not drivers fault ,he does what he's told. my start time is 3am. if he did not sign foriegn board, no one would know.Money wise, it does not hurt me, but guy behind me is feeling the pinch.

Do you guys have bid destinations or can they send you where they want to? When you're canceled can you go to the extra board? Also, was the freight ready to go at 3:00am? One thing about Yellow and probably all of these Companies is.......they'll try to do whatever suits them at any given time until it starts costing them money. Giving away free money when no labor had been performed seems to wake them up.
