Heard they were looking for volunteers at Carlisle and after the holidays there may be up to 100 laidoff....any truth?

From 1998 to 2016 they never laid off 10 people before or after the holidays. March would be the soonest they started calling you back. The city board was about 80 in July 0f 2015 my last working month. Retired in 01-01-16. The 3 & 1/2 years I have been gone has seen a lot of changes @ 050. Why did they leave Harding St & move north & pay 80 grand a month for rent? Hard to imagine they had 80 grand in expenses each month in the old terminal. You are 7 miles from Lebanon. A lot longer times if you have to go south or east of Indy. And I hear your dock is a ghost town. Now if you don't have deliveries 3 days out sitting on the dock, that explains all the space. Or, maybe you have lost so much business in central Indiana, that justifies a 67 man board. Lay offs this time a year is normal, but 10 laid off before Turkey Day is not. How many more will they cut around xmas? January, February, & March are very lean months in LTL. Wish the crew there the best. von.

Fort Smith to arrive next week and stay for a month to critique everything and tell us that everything we do is wrong and this whole mess is the workers fault and it would've been a roaring success if it wasn't for the lazy inept Teamsters. Its all our fault and we all should be fired.
 
curious about this new warehouse/dock situation.. They have broke ground and are in excavation phase of new warehouse/dock in KC.

I would hope they’re staying in the fleabag motel .....where the road drivers stay.......instead of the Suites at the Hilton.....

Set a Good Example......

Maybe the TM’s guest room.....and a few on the couch in the basement.....
Really save money......

Maybe you guys can save up all your Popeye’s discount coupons, and present them to the Fort Smith Entourage......so they can cut back on the expense account for a change....

I wish they would show up at 184 & actually talk to the employees, not like the eastern VP in at 10 out by 2 with no interaction with the workforce & maybe not announce when your coming so they don't have time to put the dog and pony show on....

I heard Road drivers were 10% to 12% across the country. Kansas City 12 and Chicago 13 laid off. Massive slowness started on Tuesday 3/31. I think there will be many more lay offs this week.

Drivers keep telling me that there are more postings on FaceBook about the layoffs however I don't subscribe to FaceBook.

I see holland RL estes , a few dayton maybe one OD , a few yrc , lapari foods, ups , fed ground and freight not too much , and many smaller outfits and one abf saturday at one am
