Yellow | Mechanic Position

Wonder if the airline was hot?
You forgot a bucket of rocks, in my early days, mechanic threw rocks at the top marker lights, most time, they came on again.
Someone once told me that they grew up so poor that their parents would send them down to the railroad tracks with buckets of rocks so they could throw stones at the hobos on the coal trains and steam engine tenders so that the hobos would throw coal chunks back at them and, voilà, a bucket of coal to cook and heat with! Was that you Seabreeze? Maybe those kids grew up to be YRC mechanics?

Yeah, I posted that awhile back, true about the rock throwing, most our trailers were 6V, we started getting GMCs and A50 Macks that were 12v.
They had a vari-volt box on the back of the tractor, switcher would forget to turn voltage to 6v and blow all the bulbs, the shop would start throwing rocks to see if some would come on, before climbing a ladder.
At times you would get a 12v trailer and 6v tractor, lights were so dim, you needed to strike a match to see them burning. aw, the good old days!
