  • Hey guys if you want to override idle shutdown on 2018 and 2019 Volvo.Push tractor brake in(yellowknob).When idle shutdown appears push cancel -resume button repeatedly it's that simple.
 
Or just put a brick on the pedal! Another question how do you open the hood if the hood latch lever broken I cannot open the hoods on these new trucks it's not like the older trucks?

I would assume he was talking about a situation that has you hooked to a trailer. I would also assume some are smart enough to figure that out.

The old days we would kick the tractor brake off and hit the cruise control up a bit .This Worked on most of the tractors they bought from Penske. Worked till Red star figured it out

I assume you know that I'm kidding - as I tend to do on occasion. :smile new:

PS - Didn't do Red Star much good to finally figure it out. They still shut down - the company that is, not the engine.

Yeah I knew you were kidding but seems there are some that don't know when one is kidding or not unless one puts a disclaimer ...As far as Red Star shutting down?? Yeah the engines were still running.

I can just hear him or her, how did you check the oil. coolant, hoses ,belts ect.as required by law on your pre trip? I think they would shut you down and possibly fine you.
