Should I be prepared to leave and not do my run when I show my management my 16 mph over limit ticket. I'm going to the lawyer to fix it but what's up till then?

You don’t have to give it t to them until the conviction! AKA after the court date.

You can get two over 15 before going to a driver review.

Not trying to say your wrong but I have heard so many things. That 15+ your out except for the dock if u want that. I'm so scared. I can't even sleep.Management wants us to tell them asap. I don't want to lie to my bosses but if I'm gonna get fired from truck driving I need a loan first so I can survive . Can we get access to the Manuel online thru evive.

You don't need to do anything until you consult an attorney!
Don't know your location, but in N C, 15 over is considered reckless driving.
Most any attorney will get this reduced to defective equipment or some lessor charge.
Your attorney fee should be less than court cost.
Get a lawyer's advice and not us smart drivers knowledge.
best of luck.
I forgot to mention, next day or two, you will probably get 15 or 20 letters in the mail from lawyers ready to represent you.

2 violations within 3 years and your CDL is suspended for 60 days by Federal law if it occurred in a CMV. A company “ driver review” would be the least of your problems. FMCSA part 383.51.

Driver manual states that you must notify the company in writing within five days of being convicted. Don't tell them anything right now, and wait to see what your lawyer can do. If they get it dismissed or reduced to a non-moving violation, you don't have to inform the company because that is not a conviction of a traffic violation.

You can view the driver manual at home: https://erc.enwisen.com/ASI/login.aspx?organization=fedex

It's always been said at my terminal..(not that the c.m. is right....I say he's wrong 1/2 the time) but it's been preached...at nausium...
if you plea a charge down with the prosecutor....the original change still stands.....the charge has to be dismissed....exsponged....before it dosnt count against you.....
.But like was previously said depending on your point standing (accident..incident..ticket history)...you can shoulder 2 ...before you go to review and or probation.....
good luck.....

I had a 15+ ticket (excessive speeding they call it) many years ago (under the old policy) and just received a nastygram from Safety telling me to slow the f#%k down. Now under the new policy, u don’t have to turn in anything until convicted like the other guys have said and even then there’s no harm unless you receive a 2nd one within 12 months...then you get the review. :732:

I received a citation once before the union push changed the policy and I still didn't mention it to management because I'd already been assured by an attorney it would be reduced to faulty equipment. I had to pay him $200 and take a defensive driving class on a Saturday. All total it cost me $250.

Even if you aren't fortunate enough to have it completely erased from your record, at the least, it will be reduced to under the 15 mph threshold before you need to notify them of the conviction.

Had a friend did the same, 20 over, his was dismissed, no points, no increase in insurance, total cost $343
