FedEx Freight | What Would You Do?

This statement alone, if true, warrants H/R action. When leadership is above board, following policy, the above is never true.

We've already covered how to press the matter. Truth is, if "the building is filled with disgruntled employees", something needs corrective action.

If you can encourage those effected to call, in significant numbers, they'll be forced to do something. You won't even need evidence of specific policy violation.

The fact that local leadership has that many disgruntled, lacking confidence, etc. demonstrates poor and ineffective leadership. The solutions are either education or removal.

When they finally do one or the other, the only question should be, what took so long?

I'm trying to, but nobody wants to step up. They're all scared of retaliation or they don't care for one reason or another. I've been mass texting the ethics website and phone number, but I don't know if anybody is using it. I'm not ok with falling on a sword if nobody else is willing to stand up for themselves. There's only so much I can do here.

Here's a specific example: I ran into a road driver on my way out this morning. He stops be to ask me what happened with the city driver from my initial post. Word travels fast .I fill him in and he starts going off about the same ops managers. He says that the ops manager assigned a newer tractor to a road driver that's a personal friend. There was no bid and that road driver is at the bottom of the board. He asked why did this road driver get a newer tractor if there's nothing wrong with his and there was no bid. He was told that he's just using it for now. I told him to complain to ethics and HR, he couldn't be bothered to do it because he doesn't want a target on his back.

I can't work with that. I probably do come off as a trouble maker and a complainer because nobody else is willing to say or do anything. They're all waiting for the next guy to say something, but nobody cares what the guy with a few months in the company has to say.
 
Oh Big Dog....you have this problem also I see....at my location....the biggest slouche's ...the biggest stuttering fool's get away with doing near nothing....cuz they go around playing the negative people crap....and that's what inept supts and inept management want to hear...because some regional...told them so...
In my history with this company....the biggest thieves literally were the ones like this .....that pull the wool over eyes ...i.e. ''I would like to someday be a manager''......i.e. they talk a good sports story.....i.e....they run around saying ''why are you so negative'' (out loud) i.e. they bring in Krispy cream's...
Isnt it a shame....they do this...

Amen brother ,whats really sad it’s center managers most supervisors hr and District managers and their boss vp of region all in cahoots with one another and in our centers case protecting people for whatever reason. 90 percent of our center workforce sees it and says it falls on deaf ears all the way to top. So sad it’s like that I do believe we are the exception to most of other centers
 
I am, but I can't prove anything. It's all a theory at this point .I text myself everytime i notice something.. Speaking to some drivers that I trust, they say it's a hard sell without solid proof.

My issue here is that i know what's happening, but I can't prove it. I'm afraid that reporting these issues would have no results and major blowback.
There’s always the risk of ‘blowback’ in a situation such as this. I had an incident at ABF Freight similar to yours. I called our dock supervisor ‘out’ on a few things not long after he became the dock super, and from that point on, I was marked.

Be sure to keep accurate and concise documentation on everything related to your current situation. It will serve you well when this boils over (and it will!).

It sure seems to me that management is doing whatever they want to whoever they want. At out center we've had problems with out TM and his Suck A***s running around saying we're all being negative. A bunch of drivers called 1-800 drop a dime HR stoped in for a visit. Told us it was all going to change. It sure did for the worse. Now the TM is out for blood trying to fdown anyone he can. Be careful for what you wish for drivers cause No one is on our side in this. It's all about the Purple Machine...
 
Most of the time, when you take an issue to the higher level over a TM, or supervisor, be prepared to receive the backlash. The only time I have ever seen the accused held accountable, is if multiple employees approach a higher up, as a group, and be accurate with true facts,and documentation.

Got another one for you guys, but it's really asking for a friend.

About a month ago he got sent out on a run. The ELD was not working. The ops manager, same one from this thread, told him to do a paper log and submit it. He submitted it to this ops manager and he figured that was the end of it. The ops manager never put it in the system. Corporate said he received a company violation for not submiting a log and if he gets 2 more he's disqualified and it's part time dock for him.

He made a copy of the log and has a record of the trip. The ops manager admitted to forgetting to document the log, but the violation wasn't removed.

How does he move forward trying to remove the violation?
 
Yes , I understand , it seems there are many @ FDX
that just simply want to punish and get even with any
one of us that will speak up. Keep your head low my
friend and hope they step in their own ::shit::. As my Father
always said "What goes around comes around." I've seen
it. One of my most hated foes totally got what what he dished
out to many good hands , many of that have parked their
units one last time. Feel free to vent here , protect yourself,
