well, we are a little short handed in our office this week and next week, and apparently the TM asked one of the ArcBest sales reps to help out one day for about 4-6 hours.
There was never a good relationship between the two of them, and when ArcBest split the sales from the ABF division, the salesman's attitude changed considerable irritation to somewhat antagonistic. The implication was that "I can't...I don't work for ABF, I work for ArcBest!"

Wow, what teamwork! That will probably only get worse in the future!

Was just a matter of time and I’m sure this won’t be the only incident throughout the company....
 
Yeah.........And how much longer would ArcBest last if ABF disappeared.?

I got to say, though.....at my former terminal.....the “ArcBest” salesman....(. a former manager).....is actually picking up some new LTL business.......or so rumor has it....
Good thing, too........We lost quite a bit of work in the last few years......

Maybe it’s time we give out the handheld’s to our sales staff & document what kind of progress they are making, track their sales calls.
