Where are all the old RedStar guys

Sure I remember them. I had ran JFK and the brokers before I started at Red Star in 77. The Kodak loads were plum jobs for the senior drivers. But the head dispatcher , Ernie H, was happy to have me for the peddle loads when I worked. I walked a lot of days back then but the steward Bobby M always seemed to find some work for us at other 560 jobs.
When I walked they sent me down to APA...a stones throw from the old red star terminal.... I recently dropped my daughter and son in law at the airport and took a cruise around the cargo areas....very depressing to see many of them vacant and off the strip it was even worse. Guy Brewer and Farmers Blvd is a mix of converted warehouses turned into retail shoppes. FYI the diner at Rockaway and Farmers is long gone even before my time!!!

I recently dropped my daughter and son in law at the airport. Took a cruise around looking to see some old friends. Cargo areas on the strip are mostly empty. Outside the airport is the same. Guy Brewer and Farmers are mostly converted container stations into retail shoppes. 156th street is mostly vacant also. Panalpina closed their container station and Sarcona is handling all their work out of Valley Stream.... one of the few 295 jobs left besides MRZ and Firebird.
