Tinfoil hats are out in full force. Latest rumor from a Sup that I like is Amazon buys Ground. Then what’s left of Fedex buys Estes......I see no way in hell that happens, but sometimes crazy ::shit:: happens. Remember how bad the National merge was, don’t think I could survive another one.

We "are" the largest freight line in North America. We cover every inch of the continus 48 states. What could Estes actually bring to the table?

I’m not sure. Said he heard it from his SCM. I’ve met his SCM he has no sense of humor so I don’t think he was pranking anybody. Oh they can give us more nose stand trailers.

I’m sure the sup has inside info ahead of Monday’s stock market.

Amazon buying Ground?
Eh, 25% chance of that.

The "rest" of Fx buying Estes?
Not a chance in hell. That would gain Fx absolutely nothing whatsoever.
They could eaisly duplicate that by leasing a few more trucks, and hiring.

Also what is there to by at ground? They're all contractors! Fed Ex just has their logo's on the side.

Maybe XPO would buy.

XPO was a nobody a few years ago, but bought Conway.

They have the resources. Bradley created United Rentals and Waste Management.. he probably could create the big dog in logistics.

What they’d get by buying another carrier is some of the customers back that they’ve lost.

Also, they’d save on paying bonuses while they lost their ass trying to figure out how to integrate the two systems.

Still remember the monthly bonuses at Viking/FXFW.
Yellow tried this RC.

https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/FDX/fedex/net-worth Some body I think Rat posted that freight accounted for 11% of fedex. if that's the case just freight would be worth appox. 4 billion. Somebody better have super deep pockets. Yellow tried this, didn't work out very well.

Hope not all our FedEx rejects are at Estes. But it's better than Walmart buying out the whole enchilada. Walmart won't need the LTL.
