FedEx Freight | Mandatory Meetings

That’s a good article for the smooth brains that fell for the “free” ice cream and hamburgers to read. It has to be obvious, even to the thickest skulled employee here, that management has almost completely reverted back to pre union threat attitudes.

Oh, FedEx isn’t going to lay anyone off. If they did, they would have to pay unemployment and the driver would be free and encouraged to seek part time employment elsewhere until the layoff is over. We’re not going to have any of that.

I love when someone that's already on overtime gets to cover one more swap and someone that started at 10am gets told that they have nothing else for him at 6pm.

Being friends with the evening dispatcher has it's perks:butt kiss:
or when a city driver fuels a road tractor while on overtime and takes 30 minutes to do it.

So if I'm getting my 40 and it's slow, why would I want to get laid off? What I want to know is what City Drivers are NOT getting their 40.

do you fuel your city tractor every day like a couple of our
drivers regardless if you used nill on your 75 miles you put on
the same run every day ? Yep , 40 minutes every day , don't
forget to spend 20 minutes hiding in the bathroom...

35+5=40 :greedy dollars:

Barn's that have 80 city drivers. And could only run 55 drivers per bill count.

My barn has close to 80 "city drivers", but we only have like 30 drivers actually working in the city. Sometimes they use more drivers when it's busy. The rest of them just work on the hub at different hours. Riding on that Toyota stallion.:woot2:

There's a bunch of us. I get 34 - 36 hours a week. I told my wife it might be time to pick up a second job. I sign up for weekend volunteering, but I'm too low in seniority. I bring home a little under 600.a week.
