XPO | Trumps Trade War

It's not a trade war. It is a President stand up for his country and it's citizens that's his job. In trucking we move freight it can be from a ship port of the manufacturer here in the US. I would rather pickup at a US manufacturer than any ship port. Yes this whole trade thing has hurt some part of this country even the trucking industry, but as a whole it better for us in the long run. Some of our leaders in Congress do not have the countries best interest at heart. How long did the House sit on the USMCA bill, where the hell is the infrastructure bill, and many of the other bill that will move this nation forward. They spend there time talking about the Constitution and yet fail to read it or understand it and just make ::shit:: up as they go.
Some in the govt do alot of talking on how they support the middle class, the union, and blue collar works and then go in the office and tax the ::shit:: out of the companies we work for. The reg and tax them so bad that it is cheaper to have it made over seas and shipped here then it is to have it made here.
Hell we even have a thread about Taco Bell manger making 100K. Why is that? Well it real simple low unemployment requires company to pay more to get and keep talent. If we had high unemployment that would never be happening.
You can call it a trade war all you want. I see as a Leader that not going to let his country and it citizen get screwed over.

The trade and currency manipulation will continue. The next world war will be over currency. Eventually, all fiat currencies reveal their intrinsic value. Zero.

The trump family should try to set a good example and manufacture their products in USA
You will never see cheap products made in America again.
Democrats gave us the end of GATT, made China Most Favored Nation (little to no tariffs) NAFTA (including forcing the USDOT to accept unlimited Mexican Carriers) and tried to ram TPA down our throats as Obama left office.
Unfortunately unions pour hundreds of millions of $$$$ into Democrats pockets. No matter Democrats screw working people and now try to force socialism on us...
The Trumps are not the problem. Just wait until the democrats give us free healthcare.....

And the republicans do what for us?

Ask the English or Canadians about their "free" healthcare

First of all, drop the word "free" from the conversation so that you don't confuse yourselves.

It's not "free". It is "publicly funded" and we all know where the "public" money comes from, yes, you and I.

So yes, anyone, regardless of their income levels, insurance, ability to pay, etc. is entitled to the same level of care as the next person.

But, the "public" pays for it.

I'm not going to advocate for our system or your system. I'm only going to say that they are both great systems in some areas and both horrible systems in other areas. Some European countries have both a public and private healthcare system which allows anyone with enough income to purchase insurance and use the private system but also allowing anyone who can't afford insurance to use the "public" system and from what I understand they work far better than either of our systems.

If you don't mind your healthcare being a financial decision made by a public employee they are a great system

That's a common argument made against our system and it is completely and utterly false and inaccurate information spread by fear mongerers opposed to anything different.

We do not have some clerk sitting at a desk deciding whether you get treatment based on a daily budget the second you walk into an ER or clinic.

We do not have "death boards" full of people deciding who lives and who dies today.

Every decision and every action taken with regards to your health is solely directed by your physician and he is not a government employee.

Thank you for the firsthand information.

I wasn't talking about "our" system I was speaking about the English system , if you are a 65 year old needing a heart transplant the answer is sorry it cost too much and you are too old.

And literally nobody is suggesting we have a government run health care system like England has.

Thank you. This is very much in line with the proposed Med4All bills. The Canadian system is probably the one that most closely resembles what Medicare For All would look like. And it wouldn't even be the same as medicare is now, it's an entirely different thing.

Here is the full bill as presented by Rep Jayapal:
