We knew this was coming after the record-breaking success of the Yellow-Roadway merger. (100% pure sarcasm) I wonder why they chose January 30, 2011 to merge the two LTLs? Wouldn't that allow them enough time to cancel this proposed merger if they can successfully underprice YRC/force YRC into bankruptcy/eliminate YRC ? Didn't FedEx Freight and Conway discount so heavily in Q4 2009 that Q1 and Q2 2010 were big losses for both companies? I can't wait to read the next Freight Update letter from my old pal Tyson!

NO they are waiting for Zollars contract to Expire, then they are going to hire him to over see the merger, Since he has done so well with the Roadway and Yellow intergration..Dollar Bill has a please please please compete clause in his contract with YRCW so there will be no problem taking the job

Good point. Bill Z. will be free of YRCW contractual obligations on January 1, 2011. I think he would look much younger in purple and orange attire. I will even help him pack up his office and load the boxes onto a waiting YRC P&D trailer. After noting the PRO #, I will make sure his crap is shipped to every terminal left in YRC's network for disgruntled employees to sign their names on as a final F U !

The way they have done things ,in the past,I would have to say, that Yellow never had Dollar Bill sign a "No compete" clause in his contract. Maybe he will take his plans with him.
