I got this with my paycheck the other day and thought I should share it with you guys just to show the mentality of management in BUF.Here goes:
ATTENTION
BUF yard procedures

It is expected that when you arrive in BUFFALO you are doing the following:

Check yourself in at the check in pole. You do not pull around someone and pass the pole so you can park.

You are to relieve the pressure on the 5th wheel once you stop on the drop pad.

"NOW GET THIS"

" Garage" is to to be removed and thrown away...in the trash cans at the pole!!!
NOT ON THE GROUND

Not a bad idea.

After all, they wont fix anything.

I pushed the wrong button and did not get to finish the post and I have to get to bed so they can call me on rest again.

Isn't it amazing how they treat their own drivers? Are we really the enemy?Or aren't we supposed to be a "TEAM"?It never ends at BUF.Like High School!

Linehaul Larry is bar none the worst manager i've ever come in contact with. Oh yeah, he's also one of the dumbest too..................

What's wrong with throwing your trash in the trash can and making the switchers job just a bit little easier?I don't get it!

I like the idea of garage to be put into barrels !
What will happen to mechanics?
The poor things will be cover with meguts !
And what will happen to our trucks with out or mechanics ?
OH; I get it "GARBAGE" excuse me !
I think that camputer pole is great idea so are the thrash barrels but, the hole thing is in the wrong place. What do you guys think ?

Trash in the barrel is great but what do you do with it on the ready line after its been to the fuel lane and the hostler has hooked it? Most places don't provide easy access to dump your brothers trash.

So this is new in BUF?
We have had trash cans for drivers in ATL for years.......also JMI, NSH, MEM, CNC...I guess we just like cleaner trucks in the south....NOW we know where all the "other" trash has been coming from....CLEAN OUT YOUR TRASH AND HELP THE NEXT DRIVER!.....damnnnnnnn!.......KK

They need a newspaper recycler in CGB. Everytruck I get into I have to throw out a newspaper. But I am curtious enough to walk it over to the trash bin so It is not blowing all over the yard in Chicago. I agree more trash cans. And drivers need to empty out their trash. and Buffalo needs to fix the arival computer. You need to hit the enter button with a hammer to get it to arrive you. Dont take offence to this most of the drivers are pretty good about keeping the truck clean. I smoke and I always make sure that the windows are clean and the dash is wiped off and there are no ashes on the floor. I have more pride in myself.

Kennesaw, you would have to experience BUF to understand.Linehaul Larry is a Wonder with his rulings and over reactions.

The problrm in Buffalo is that Linehaul Larry is a bumbling idiot. A driver once suggested that they put a small dumpster next to the pole and a-whole Larry said it wasn't necessary.

Linehaul Larry

It seems to me that the trucks that we get into out of Buf. that are full of garbage either come in from New England or a city driver had it that day,you can always tell because it has a local newspaper in it. Anyway that was not the point I was trying to make. The point I was trying to make ,and I would have if I did'nt push the wrong button and delete half of my post, was that people who are colledge educated and are in charge of a workforce should at least check their spelling before the send a message to the employees.Anyone can make a mistake and I have no problem with that, however when you are giving instructions to a lot of people I would think that you would not sound like a "bumbelling idot"

The problem with BUF is the rudeness of the requests and the whole atmosphere that breeds confrontation when you arrive there. The rudeness of the signs directing drivers and never the words "please or thank you". The dispatch takes glee in screwing with CVE drivers on turns. Held for 1 hour and 3 clicks and given a express lane hooked 4-8 hours prior and just waiting. You ask "why the delay" and they say CDO told us to as they giggle behind the glass. So you eat the time and go on. They dont even give you guys up there shelter for your radio equipment. That is blatant disregard for the drivers and our expensive equipment. I would really have to think about going the extra mile for BUF on anything. THE SAD THING IS::: Some in management think this is the way to go keep us *****ing. They would get so much more if they treated people well..

Shouldn't the new directives be signed?Tom I agree BUF management has no regard or respect for their drivers. We are less than human.

Shack for radios in buf.

I have spoken to Larry on this matter and have the impression that one will come soon!
I sugested that a 28' pup (out of service)w/out landing gear, tandems or overhead door, be droped on first pup slot next to fire hydren accross from stairs to O/B with back facing building to be used for shack.
Electric is easy assecible from light pole ( J )
for the inside of this shack, and would go on when all yard lights go on.
Also yard would be marked for (space reserved for van) driver p/up and drop off area.
It would be much safer than for evryone and we would be out of the wintery weather.
What do you guys think; Good idea or what ?
C Click

Great idea, but i don't think it will ever happen because Larry doesn't give a s**t about any of us. Heck it could be 2 degrees, we could be out of power, and he would expect us yardmen to stand there freezing our butts off waiting for an inbound to roll in. Believe me, i'd love for you guys to have a place to put your gear other than next to or under the stairs. Some guys actually put their stuff under the trailers next to the stairs when it's raining. It would be nice not to have to worry about running over someone's stuff when i pull out 91 or 93 door...........
