Yellow | A Message From Line Haul Larry

I think we should hook Linehaul Larry & Blackwidow Karen (from CGB) up together & send them on a romantic adventure to the north pole. As cold as these 2 are, it would end the effects of global warming & Yellow would probably receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

I have spoken to Larry on this matter and have the impression that one will come soon!
I sugested that a 28' pup (out of service)w/out landing gear, tandems or overhead door, be droped on first pup slot next to fire hydren accross from stairs to O/B with back facing building to be used for shack.
Electric is easy assecible from light pole ( J )
for the inside of this shack, and would go on when all yard lights go on.
Also yard would be marked for (space reserved for van) driver p/up and drop off area.
It would be much safer than for evryone and we would be out of the wintery weather.
What do you guys think; Good idea or what ?

I think that I have a bridge to sell you if you believe for one minute that the management team in BUF would do anything that requires any effort, compromise or planning that would benefit the hourly employees. We don't even have marked crosswalks in BUF! The only thing they will do that is over and above the contract is working with you for time off in a family emergency. As far as anything else, (shelters, drops, slides, etc.) don't hold yoour breath!

TestPilot,I agree with you 100%!The total lack of regard or respect is legendary and not soon going to change. We are the Enemy!

b positive !

Why are you guys so negative about co. and Larry ?
We must be suportive of our great supervisers and our great comp. LOL :butt kiss:

That sums it up. We are the enemy to them. I am maybe not seeing the "BIG PICTURE" so to speak about BUF. Drivers waiting around on the clock,(all though we do give the first hour if on a turn from CVE) Freight being delayed and just a basic us against them atmosphere. How does BUF make the numbers look good to CDO. Most terminals get the drivers in and out without too much delay (unless no power) and the company makes money. I have sat for up to 3 hours for empties in BUF with 75+ tractors around and a 7+ hour notice that yes a CVE man is inbound too BUF. I don't see how they get away with tis. Maybe I'm naive on the freight deal! I have had express lanes hooked hours prior that they have held me for just over and hour and pay the 3-8 clicks past the hour for my delay. I know they like to mess with the teamster deal up there but how does this serve the company. Freight/equipment/manpower delayed for a obvious game to them. I think maybe Lombardo or what ever his name is up there sets the mood for that terminal.

The dispatch takes glee in screwing with CVE drivers on turns. Held for 1 hour and 3 clicks and given a express lane hooked 4-8 hours prior and just waiting. .

Is there access to an eating place at this lovely facility? Do they provide a means to reach an eating place if not? They must provide one or the other and between the fourth and sixth hour to force you off, check Article 48. I once won 17 hours for this very thing.

Been like that for years, started with Coleman TM, and Lombardo Linehaul Boss. Just a bunch of Teamster hating people. Glad I left for Roadway, where you at least had a chance of dealing with human beings. :chairshot:

The problem with management in BUF is that they exceeded there quota for replacement orangutans and they were forced to hire Linehaul Larry. Until our shipment of replacements are available, we will have to live with what we got

They offer to call a cab to transport you 3 blocks over to a restaurant if you'd like.

Believe it or not Karen was a nice gal 20 or so years ago. Now she never has a good word to say.....and that's if she speaks at all.

That's a good one. Call the siera club.:hysterical:

Someone told me the other day that Karen used to be married to a Yellow driver,I wonder
if that is why she is so nice to us.
Just maybe he was one of those magic marker guys.

I never have problems with her. I think Mona would be better to send up there. She never has anything nice to say to anybody
