I was wondering if you religious fanatics could please stop writing on the inside of the cabs of the trucks. I picked one up today from Columbus and someone decided it would be nice to take a magic marker and draw crosses on the cabinet doors, plus preach to all of us drivers about God and president Bush. Isn't it a sin to deface another's property? and doesn't your religion prohibit you from doing that. I am sure that you do not write on the cabinets in your house? Or trailer, or maybe you do. And by the way you were not too smart to leave your 199 form in the truck with your signature on it to show who this person was. I took care of that for you so don't you worry. So please be courteous to the rest of your fellow drivers and save your magic markers for when you need to touch up furniture in your trailer or house which ever part of the country you are from.

Thanks, and have a rotten day.

I never understood what possesses a so called adult to write all over public surfaces. Be it a truck or the bathroom wall, it's a sad, needy way to garner attention.

Too bad they can't find out who the nutball is thats free and easy with their magic marker and hand them a scrub bucket and brush.

How about the holes poked into the headliners !!! The dashclusters smacked !!!
Sometimes you wonder how the children got into the tractor and vandalized it.

I was wondering

Hoe about the non-smokers who throw out the ash-trays and the smokers who put their ashes in odd places, such as dashboards all over the floor. It is a wonder!

Fact is......you will NEVER know who it is as long as we slip seat, as the trucks are not inspected when we turn them in!
Why did you attack just 1 group? I noticed nothing was said about the PRO/ANTI Hoffa & Leedham crap....nothing said about the profanity written all over the dash and headliners too? I had rather sit in the truck for over 9 hours staring at a cross, than profainity across the dash!........grow up, and clean up after your nasty and collectively bargained a$$es!........KK

Just made it back from MEM, and there's anti Hoffa slogans in big letters all over the bathroom there. Surprised that they just leave it there instead of painting over it.

You hit the nail right on the head there buddy. I just read KK's post and he made a good point too.The real point is that noone should be defaming company equipment this is what makes all of our living and we should treat it as such. All I can say about this is that those of you that need to do these things ,need to grow up and wise up!!!!!!!!!!

Headrush, don't be surprised by anything that you see at MEM. I haven't noticed it in awhile, but, there used to be drivers' dirty clothes at the bottom of the steps that go up to linehaul. It was disgusting, the place is filthy.

Thank You KK!!!!!

I would never mark anyone's anything. I don't even have bumper stickers on my car. But I got the gist of the post that he was only attacking "religious zealots", far more than he was making any other points about clean trucks.....:nutkick:

Hey DETROb, How can you trace the message back to the last 199. That message could of been written months ago. I believe I had the truck the other day as well. Was it 13598 or 15556?

tractors

As long as, Yellow and Roadway, or any other company that has unassigned tractors, then the dirt and filth and equipment defects will go on indefinitely.

Find out who the culprit is, go to their personal car and mark up their vehicle and slash their headliner. IT WILL STOP THEN
No it won't... It'll make them more determined to tear up their livelihood... Some people are just that full of contempt...

All of our terminals are filthy, roadhazard...

The Teams at MEM are supposed to leave their dirty linens at the bottom of the stairwell when they come in... I've seen all kinds of crap piled up there (other than linens) over the years, so the dirty laundry wouldn't be any surprise...

HeadRush, What did you think about those "plush" accomodations at MEM? You didn't get one of those rooms in the breakdown lane of I-55, did you? Did the van driver crash on the way to or fro? How many times did you get propositioned for a "date"?... Yellow must have a certain affinity for Brooks Rd. ... They seem to think that Brooks Rd. is the only road in Memphis, Tn. that has motels on it...

Full Deck,
What big lesson have we all learned from our experiences in riding around in unassigned freight trucks?

Never ever, never buy used rental cars from Hertz, Enterprise, Budget, etc.... They get trashed & thrashed just like these freight trucks... Only, they have extra seats and factory installed radios...

I fully concur with everyone's disdain for the graffiti and vandalism that's bestowed on our equipment. I've always compared it to taking a big dump right in your own nest. But who knows? Maybe some of those rank bastards do just that!...

I've been in some assigned city units that are just as bad, or worse! Now, that's bad...

It is called anger....

There was a study on professional truck drivers, non and un and the un seem to be more angry than the non. Why I don't know. But I feel that the guys who do this stuff is so angry with their jobs, and their companies and there co- workers, it is a way for them to vent. No it is not right , but that is what is happening. You must learn to respect one another, and respect your self, to clear this up.
And for the religous comments, I don't approve of writting on the trucks or traliers, but finger strokes in the dust don't hurt anything , and it would do you some good to hear the word and belive the word and obey the word don't you think, cause if we all did that we would not have the problems you are griping about. Anger is the next thing to danger, and becarful, very careful how you treat someone who cares about you hearing the gospel even if it is just a few strokes in the dust. God is watching and listening to your comments and hears your thoughts as well. Dont be angry, be happy, and spred some good news and try to show others a postive attitude from all this and maybe it will make it better for all of you..it starts with you not anybody else..YOU!!!:1036316054:

Tell your God to stop the slaughter in the world and then I'll listen to you.
