FedEx Freight | Ice Road Truckers Tonite at 1000

its kind of a catch phrase from the bubba the love sponge sponge show on sirius.Full Trucker Effect.

I noticed several of the truckers had their satellite recievers on their dash boards. I knew Sirius reached into Canada. Wonder of they have signal all the way up in Yellow Root.

guys i have been watching this show, these guys are nuts, i don't belive that i would do it.

but on tonights episode they show the "polar bear" popping shots off at one of his employees and fellow truck driver for tring to pass. now i know the guy was just playing but i just want to know how you guys feel about that?

i didn't like it cause one. it is things like that is when accidents happens what if he would have shot the guy? hit a tire and flipped that truck and load? what if the other driver didn't see the humor in it and would have used his truck to ram him or would of had a gun his self and shot back?

i belive it was in poor taste for the history channale to show that scene for the reason that kids and unstable people watch this show and they know that is real life so does that mean that mean the next time some one tries to pass them they should shoot at them? after all they did see it on history.

also isn't there a law about having fire arms in a commeical truck? or is that just in the us.?

please before you start to thash me i do not drive a truck yet though i am studying for the permit so i may not have all my facts strait just yet.

One thing though, I spent a lot of time in the Toronto area and while they did tend to use the "eh" at the end of their sentences a lot, I noticed that the Ice Road Truckers have a more sing song quality as well as the "eh" in their voices.

Must be regional like the U.S has southern versus northern accents.

Overall the shows been great,it sure shows a different aspect of trucking.

It's hollywood.
You can't have a firearm in your truck in Canada.
You can have a shotgun, but no hand guns.
They have strict gun control laws, just like New York City. And there only the bad guys have guns.

i think it was a cap gun. did you see how close he had it to his face.?
i also thought it was funny when the tanker trucks were in his way and he was yelling at the guys to get the hell out of his country.

Yea I think you are right 14W.
It looked like some sort of cap gun.
I was looking on Google Groups to see but there was nothing.

Could it be that those tanker drivers were going so slow, because they made a wrong turn and were looking at their map still looking to find JFK Airport??

It's like any other job, chit happens, at least they make more to take the risk.

I've seen plenty of bad accidents as I'm sure so have you, dead is dead no matter if it's from being crushed burnt or frozen.

Just watched a rerun and was trying to decide what my "price" would be to do that kind of trucking.

I started by doubling my fedex freight road driver salary, then doubling again, and again, and again, and, well, I still haven't reached my "price".

I don't think they can afford me! :TR10driving03:
