I just filled out an online APP for ABF. Can anyone give me some info on how long the process takes? I was told to try ABF after I got the RESTRUCTURING BOOT from FEDKINS. I need work fast. Three weeks severence isn't going to cut it for the long survival of my four kids and unemployment pay just stinks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

if u applied for dock work only, it will be as a casual, which the work is pretty slow right now, and cincinnati is and end of line terminal which is combo work only.. the closest terminal with dock only casuals is dayton "huber heights", which is 48 miles from the cincy terminal...

Full Time

Hey Frog,

I got hired full time about 3 weeks ago as a city driver. I am hoping it work's out. I am working on my 30 days. Thanks for the advice.

Dockgirl it took about 6 weeks for Fort Smith to do everything that they do. I heard back after a long time. I do know that they go over everything with a fine tooth comb. They are not easy to get on with but when you get on,it is great.

Hey Dockgirl it took me about 4 weeks for everything to happen from start to finish. Be honest on your app. they check everything. I worked causal for about six months before being hired full time. Good luck ABF is a great company.

Hey dockgirl, it takes awhile, sometimes, but worth the wait. If the call drop everything and go get the job. Remember seniority date means alot in the long run. Good Luck.:smilie_132:
