Nice e-mail from Big larry in Buffalo. The conduct of some drivers in the motel at BUF is too much for him too handle. Apparently we have some drivers using the computer in the lobby looking at p*on and not logging off. We have some stealing from the rooms, not acting like adults and basically being horrible people. Well Larry, put your big boy pants on and go after those drivers that the hotel say are doing it. Please don't write a nasty e-mail to ALL drivers to be posted in Linehaul and lump us into a category. I found that offensive and not very professional of the company. If the hotel cant identify someone in a room stealing light bulbs and blankets they have issues. The computer in the lobby should have software that would make p*on sites unavailable. But we all know how the BUF terminal treats drivers and we probably should not expect much out of the linehaul manager. He certainly would not get any extra effort out of me if I worked there. Sad!

That is a shame what's going on at the new hotel. I stayed there one time about a week after we started staying there. We finally get a real nice to stay at and some of these so called professionals have to act like theives and lowlifes. I agree the hotel should have record of who stayed in what room and when and then report it to the BUF manager. They should be fired and sent home on the big grey dog. One other thing, It would be nice if there was some places to eat near by.

More like the hotel, that is 21 miles away from the terminal, just got it's first fuel bill for running a big, 8 cylinder van almost a thousand miles a day, and is looking for ANY excuse to get the hell out of the contract they fought to get in the first place. The hotel in Lancaster pulled the same garbage when they wanted out of the Yellow contract.

Any is you think that is bad, you should see the ones that WE get.

I love how our fellow TEAMSTERS are right behind the company!!!!!! :butt kiss:
"Fire that drivers azz and send him home on the big grey dog"
How do you know if that stuff was even in the room?
Have you ever seen some of the skanks cleaning these rooms? (I certainly don't mean all of them)
I have been in rooms where there were no towels at all, ZERO! When I called down to the desk I was asked "what did I do with them?"
I have seen these cleaning women leave doors open to rooms and take the elevator down to the laundry room... who knows who went in that room when she was gone?
Like what was said before, the hotel may not have realized what they were getting into.
Now they want out as quick as possible.
BUT RIGHT OF WAY FIRE THE GUY THAT WAS IN THAT ROOM!!!!!!

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!!!!!!!!!!

DONT JUST HOP ON THE BANDWAGON:1036316054:

Years ago in STL we had a guy who ran a bid to OKC....the motel claimed that a pillow was missing and said he took it. This guy was irate. He was the kind of guy who would give you his last dollar and starve....he is not in any way, shape or form a thief....much less a motel pillow thief. It was later learned that the van driver, who used to clean rooms between runs, took the pillow. The van driver got fired and the motel apologized to the driver.

:poster_stupid: well i shure hope we dont have to leave this motel in buf....hell fire!!its brand new clean!!!!WHATS WRONG WHITH THESE DUMMYS??!!!!!!

Its an all non-smoking motel....some of the drivers are smoking in the rooms..one driver that I know of is banned from staying there.

I'm sorry you don't like my comment but I really don't care. I feel I have every right to judge some fellow "Teamster" because they are probably the same ones that like to vandalize the tractors or fail to clean up after themselves after using it. Why do they do that? It doesn't hurt the company. I see other fellow "Teamsters" on a daily basis and alot of them look like skanks and have no respect for themselves much less anyone else. When you check into a room, cover your a** and do a check on the room. If anything is missing call the front desk right away. Oh by the way, a butt kiss, After this change of ops in COL, I could care less about this company. Sounds to me you need to get a life. Just because someone is a "Teamster", it doesn't make them automatically an honest or decent person. Unless you were in the room with these drivers, how do you know that they didn't steal anything.

Hmmmm,
I think the point was that YOU are judging other Teamsters based on your perceptions of your coworkers and anger at the company.

I'll tell you one thing, I have work for other companies and not one time did I ever climb into a truck and see vandalism and trash laying everywhere or some type of beverage spilled on the dash. I call things the way I see it. Just because I work for the same company or belong to the Teamsters like the next fellow. It doen't mean I am going to agree with them or back him in anyway if I feel that person is in the wrong. Especially when I have to get in a tractor, where some moron wasn't brought up to respect things that didn't belong to them or respect fellow workers. I may be quitting Yellow very shortly and I truly feel that I have found a better place to work.

What the whole point of the post was, is to tell you THAT MAY BE YOU ONE DAY!!
You have no proof of WHO DID WHAT IF ANYTHING!!!!!!!
Then you go on this incessant rant about vandalism and spilled coffee
So by your judgement if I get in the truck that YOU were driving with this so called spilled coffe I should run to management and have YOU fired and send your stupid azz HOME ON THE BIG GREY DOG!!!!!!!!!!
Remember thats your thinking not mine :nutkick:

This is about the company lumping us into one big pile. I never steal from a hotel! I never look at p*on in a hotel lobby! I am a middle age man that does not need a Linehaul manager from some little terminal in NY characterizing me as a scum bag in a memo when I come into work. Telling me how to act in public. I go back to my original post, Find out the facts and let him do what he has to! It is his job to take care of business with the drivers that go into BUF. Not his job to insult all drivers that do their job and are professionals. How about the woman that comes up too linehaul and picks up her husbands check and has to be subjected to this hanging in the window? Properly reprimand a person doing wrong doing up there privately! Dont cast a general blanket over the whole situation and feel the need to lash out at the other thousand or so drivers that do go to BUF too bed. Its just plain wrong and the sign of a weak manager!

It has been the policy in BUF to lump all drivers into one pile, rather than face the guilty! And to never sign any new directives.

Seen this happen before. we recently left the hotel we were being housed at in OKC because the owners and hotel management didn't want us there anymore. I don't think it was due to anything we as drivers did they just decided that it was too much of a hassel to have to go and pick up drivers at the terminal and then take them back. They bought the hotel while in a contract with Yellow and CLC and it didn't take long for them to make their intentions clear. They started barring drivers ( good people) some of which I know personally and would put my name on in a heart beat, and then firing their own van drivers when for stupid reasons. That is when you can tell your stay will be short . I have to admit that once we were out of there we were all glad to be gone. OYu never know if you were going to be the next driver that got kicked out and for what. Granted the new motel isn't much better we have had some issues with them already but nothing really serious. They don't seem to be real happy that they have Yellow's business but it has calmed down as of late. The deal up in BUF is probably due to the fuel cost. someone didn't realize how much it was going to cost to run the drivers back and forth to and fro the terminal and now they are in over their heads. wouldn't be surprised if BUF doesn't change it here soon willingly or otherwise.
