told us at meeting last week he has never seen a company that has asked for concessions rebound and that yrc was squeezing all they can before they go under. it was a surreal moment to actually here it from the top.

He was told that by the company at the 2 man meeting. The same thing they keep telling them at every 2 man meeting. The same thing they were told by ABF at their 2 man meeting. This gives them a justifiable reason to present this CRAP to the membership. Have you ever had to look for an excuse, when what you had to do STINKS to high heaven. This is their excuse. NO More NO Less.

the president of our local today said they recomend a yes vote,25% was better than nothing, boy was i glad i went

Just think of all the dues they'll get from all the casuals. Hey, they won't even need to give them insurance either. Wow, good business to be in.

Luuuke, I knew someday you would come over to the darkside, it was your destiny to join your var-ter! PS: Our scuzy pos said hes retiring. POS!!!

yea they would recommend to vote yes ,WHY cause the union needs your dues ,they are afraid of losing there union gravy jobs, and yes 25% is better than nothing ,BUT at what point do we stop saying yes ??????????????????? it maybe time to take a stand ???????? and is the union people losing there pension and taking a 15% giveback to the union ??????

I asked the Union since they are giving everything to the company then why dont they help out there members and lower our dues to 1 time the hourly rate instead of the 2 and a half times the rate. I got no answer they acted like they never heard me.

Our BA for 952 came to the terminal last Fri. he gave me the impression like he really didn't want to be there, he gave us half-ass answers to our questions, pretty much told us our only choice is to vote yes. As far as I'm concerned this clown does not represent us nor does the local.

I am out on workmans comp and we all know how that pays...I asked the hall about reducing my dues and they said I have to pay the full amount each month...Just wanted to know what bodypart I hurt so they make sure they do not have to pay on it somewhere down the road...

Don't drop this turd on your BA. I have been critical of some BA's in the past, as many know. This time around, they are about as in the dark as we are. They know it is a Pig in a Poke. Their choices are, recommend you vote Yes, or recommend you potentially lose your job. They don't have a good choice in this.

If your on comp. the company is paying your health benefits, you don't pay dues. Unless u weren't hurt on the job.

He's a spineless slimeball, has never won a grievance as far as I know, talks outta both sides of his mouth & dances around ever issue, I really don't like the guy.

you dont pay dues while on comp!!!!

If you are on extended comp and don't take a withdrawal card, you are responsible for all back dues.
I paid my own dues for 2 years before taking a withdrawal. I did this because I always had the intention of returning to work. I didn't know that my body would decide otherwise. Once I knew I was done, I took the card.

Your benefits are covered for 2 years, or at least they used to be in my local. However, dues always had to be current. best bet, take a withdrawal if you don't want to pay back dues. This comes from personal experience...read my previous post.

I have to give credit to my local's President for how he conducted himself at yesterday's meeting.
1st ...he did not tell any one to vote yes or no.
2nd ...he told us he hated to be in the position he was in, and didn't want to be telling us what we didn't want to hear.
3rd...he told us he was also in the dark on some questions and would not make up some bullshit answer just to satisfy a question.
4th...he told us it was bigger than just YRC going under
5th...he said there was no guarantee this would work or that YRC might not come back for more concessions in the future.
6th...he agreed with all of us that this totally sucks
