After more that 10 years there, it probably was a nice meeting, I have seen a lot of those, but what is the main reason.......in the end it is to lower cost, driver wages (outside carriers), and try to keep health insurance lower. And yes this is my opinion

come on people been waiting all day so whats the good news.

I can give you some info as per my source that attended. Lots of changes to the MDT and the way we keep in touch with dispatch.Safety bonuses are going up to a max of 1000. dollars and the company has big plans for the future.All the guys that went there will fill in the rest later I'm sure. Oh and the flex driver program goes bye bye.
 
Senior said that they have set up a deal to lease a thousand trailers by March 1, 2009...We are expecting to get busy..When the business comes, he said they paln to start purchasing these trailers..
 
Safety bonuses are going up to a max of 1000. dollars .
Nothing new about that...... It's been like that for a few years now.. No accidents increases your amount every year up to $1000. Have an accident and move back to $500. The year is also split in half. So having a fender bender in the first half will cut it to $250.
 
I heard from a couple that were at the meetings that it was unbelievable. They said that they were treated like royalty and felt very welcome and had a LOT of questions answered. They were very tired and will hear more. Very much excitement though!! Guess the new pres. is a great guy and the owners too.They said RL is a great very unique company I ask them to explain they said the weekend was so exiting no one will be able to describe it. They said they took over 200 pictures and wanted to take more he said his wife had the best time of her life.

It was fantastic...They fed everyone really good, breakfast, lunch and dinner. ...All of the owners were there with their wives, and they were as happy as could be to talk with you about anything...

All the top level management was there, and very friendly, and would answer you questions.

There were two race cars there, the race truck, the two transporters, and that real old cabover truck and trailer also..

At the end of the night, they were giving away gifts, pulling names out of a box..I got a really nice Seiko watch, that has R&L carriers 2009 employee conferece on the dial.

Say what you want, but in my opinion, and it has been my opinon for years, the Roberts are a class act...

During the Q&A, a driver asked if R&L ever thought about giving scholarships to the employee's kids, Bob Z said he would get with the Roberts on this...Twenty minutes later, it was announced that this year,Senior would give out 5 scholarsips for $5000.00 each....

im I missing something?ive being with comp for 5 years and no accidents so far and have always being $500 and as far as i know you dont get nothing if involved in any type of accidents if you at fault.

This is a major problem. Drivers not knowing whats going on. Check your pay stub it should be on there. Nobody should be up to $1000 yet. We get a extra $50 every year up to $1000 so you should be around $650 now.

actually the safety bonus i got in dec08 was for$550 now that i look it up, but as far i remember the dec07 bonus was $550 also,in 08 i also won the $500 chirstmas wishlist drawing and also got $50 christmas bonus that they always give out,
i dont know if that because of the drawing prize was the reason not to raise me safety bonus but im gonna ask my dispatcher tonight to see if he knows something about it.
 
Why hasn't anyone on here posted what was said at the meeting? We are all waiting to hear what was said. I guess that no one on here made it to the meeting,we need to get the word out about Trucking Boards.

There is a lot to say but I can tell you that everything I heard at the meeting was good we are going in the right direction and all employees are getting a DVD sent to there home so you can see the conference for yourself. As a whole I think the company we do just fine and get through the rough times

it's $500.00 to start and each consecutive year you get an extra $25.00 so for three years accident free you would get $575.00 four years would be $600.00 ECT......
