OK..I am back..got a good nights sleep.

Not to be repetative on information we should all know by now...204 IBT Locals were involved in this COO. Many of those Locals were there to clarify and get issues settled before the Committee and a decession will be released shortly, which will answer the Local's concerns.

I did not have a computer with me and some of the quick notes I posted were from my phone. For those who made the BS comments that I was being censored and was holding back information can kiss my collectively bargained butt!I was taking notes and LISTENING to what was going on and to all other Locals who made their cases for their members..THAT is why I could not answer your PMs and e-mails during that time...If I responded to you...then something could have been missed in the details..

I will tell you one thing that was first and foremost in this COO hearing...your Locals and IBT Freight Reps were putting the member's senority and work rights first above anything else....we know there will be job losses....the COO documents show that.....some numbers changed in many places..that is why I asked you to contact your own Locals and talk to your Business Agents and get the facts first hand.

Clericals were the most talked about group in the change due to those that were non-union, Union and on white paper contracts. A ruling will be made on that very soon,as well as the rest of the cases, as the phone bidding date for all of this will be 2/15 and 2/16/09.

Please don"t ask me a question about your area, if you have not asked your own Local about it first.....KK

Okay, don't let the goat get mad at me. But, if we are on a white paper contract does that put us in a better or worse position? We have a 4-5 page addendum covering office clerical employees. I am assuming that is a white paper contract. Am I correct?

3 messages to the BA haven't been returned .I'm sure I'm not alone .

Our BA didn't know a thing, steward not back yet (I guess he must have meant the UE COO?)....and 3 more got laid off at Yellow Indy today. KK...why would they be laying off again right before the phone bids if we're a gaining terminal??

Addendum to NMFA?.....KK

After a $974M loss?...that might have something to do with it....KK

It says parties agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions of the NMF and Central States area local cartage supplemental agreement, except for the modifications hereinafter provided.......It is titled Yellow Transportation & Teamster Local. Office Clerical Addendum. It is signed by local hall and VP of labor.

Are you receiving NMFA wages and benefits that the NMFA Clericals are receing at other locations?....KK

Yes, we are covered by same benefits as the driver/dock guys, same class/grade, our wages are slightly lower than the driver/dock. (by about .50 and hour). Our wages, with our raises, are listed in this 4-5 page contract. Anything not listed goes back to national contract. (at least that is what we have been told)

kK I have a question well first let me just say thank you for all you do as a former steward Im aware how tough your job is especially right now. My question is why isnt there more union officials like yourself on these boards giving info like you do.I realize that members can be difficult sometimes,so why not get other officials to post local info AND international info on the boards.Ive tried to get my agent to come here but he didnt seem interested..maybe coming from someone like you he maybe more inclined to log in

amen to that brother. good post

I do agree with the above statements fully! Now, for my point of view.....
Most Local officials feel that they are beyond getting information from otside sources and also from giving info through these sites. This type of forum takes away their "power trips" of speaking to the few same members that come and stroke their overinflated ego's at the monthly meetings. They also feel no loyalty to other members that are not theirs. It is sad that one Local won't help another's members but that is the case at least here. Just my point of view. I do agree with the above statements fully!

In my opinion....then you would have a non-union clerical endtail behind you....the Committee will be ruling on this problem in the next few days.....KK

Don't know...I have been on this website since 1997...I was working at the Local then and went back in 2002....and kept trucking at Yellow until 2007 and went back to working at the Local....during the past 13 years I have allways been here posting anything I got my hands on and/or made sure the documented facts were available to the members..

..that is just me....Jeff can tell you that.....I will allways do that as a driver or as a union offical....that is just me.....KK
