Yellow | Positive Sign, well, at least it isn't bad news!

9 years and you were laid off? Man that's bad, Yellow has only got up to about 4 years in Seattle. Which ABF barn are you at?

I really hope yrc can figure it out at stick around. I have worked for abf for 9 years and just got layed off. Times are bad. But we need all of our union brothers and sisters for the future. With out us we will all be making $15 top scale.

15 will be high in wages, not including the cost of the CDL you must have to drive one of these Beasts.:flame:

Just talked to my buddy and he has 61/2 year at Carlise and now has 4 guys behind him. If Lancaster guys come in might he get laid off? It won't hurt him because he is 72 years old ,his wife and him are on SS and has 50 years in union Don't tell me that he should retire stuff . Ive tried to get him to hang it up so i have some one to go to Sears with and watch people try on shoes on I retired at 58 and am bored as hell. I do have part time work at Sherwin Williams that pays 8.50 $$ an hour. After 6 months i got bumped up to $8.75 per hour, they dom't make me:biglaugh: go out with paint in bad weather.

This is very good news - and puts our cash reserves at over 770 million!

this finishing off of lease backs will allow us to go full force into the merger and get the trucks moving strong this spring.

Although you hate to lose accounts. Losing Home Depot might be on purpose. Anyone who ever delivered to them knows this. Late night appointments, no one answers door, new receiving clerk every month, no room for your deliveries,.....ETC. I know we use accounts like HD to push the more profitable freight through the system but I never saw how we made any money or broke even with this account.

Right on the money with your comments. When the freight was put on a peddle because (It's only 2 skids) it's just as bad!

Always a delay, costs the company 4 or 5 stops per day but the company doesn't want to hear that!
