This saturday morning I spent more than 45 min.on the phone trying to get the central board to answer the phone to get trailers assigned so I could start my daily run. They never did answer the $#@@!&*phone!!!I finally gave up and called my T/M at home to use his p.c.to assign me some freight,he was a good sport about it[better than I'd have been]and I was able to leave close to on time.I have about given up on the central board on saturday, lately I've been calling the regional dispatcher in PAR to get numbers but its not really his job either[he left work early on sat.I was out of luck there]Is anyone else having this problem with them?I don't want to be calling my T/M saturday mornings he has three sons, his saturday mornings should'nt be spent on the phone with me!If this isn't isolated to me I want to know about it.I intend on starting up the chain of command to get this fixed if I'm not alone with this problem.

Hey Dean, you could've been trying when they're out on their break. Usually no one will answer or someone from another board may grab the phone just to tell you to call back when they're done. Sometimes they could be tied up when a driver has a wreck. When I ran team and did wild those were usually the reason for the weekend.

Unfortunitly not the first time this has happened and at different times of the morning, there was nothing preventing them from putting me on the IVR hours earlier. This is a bid run has been since july,as far as I can tell central has never set me up for the run ,am becoming annoyed.

Did you try the IVR for your trailer numbers first? I always seem to be set-up on the IVR for my loads. If not, then I call dispatch. But I know on the week-ends, central dispatch is always hard to get them to answer the phones.

First thing I do when I wake up.If I called my T/M at home and was in the system I would richly deserve the *** chewing he would give me.I didn't start driving here last week.

Have the problem every other week. call and sit on hold when it should have already been set up. Every other week every time without failing. Mine seems to be because of one individual though never have this problem with others in central.

:loser::smilie_132:Just trying to help. You may have just started driving!
Sorry i get grouchy at the end of the day...still I mentioned not being set up on the IVR.:smilie_132:
Anyhow I've found out who to talk to at corporate to at least try to get this fixed,I'll let you know if that works,I've had pretty good luck in the past working with Thomasville.Nice Folks...

Must have been Gary. He's famous for that and nobody cares as usual.
How someone so inept could keep his job so long??

shouldnt your local night time disp assign your loads before he goes home on friday nights
Its a relay, the pups are still in MFS when the local dispatcher goes home,a MFS driver takes them to SPM,then a SPM driver brings them here.No one in WIC has a clue to whats coming here.

I've been set up by our regional line haul coordinator, then changed, then changed again by someone else, then by central.

What gets my blood boiling is you come in and IVR, get your trailers hooked up and IVR your dispatch and you have another trailer added on while you were in the process of hooking the 2. It has happened twice to me, and it always happens that the added on trailer is the middle box of the 3.

:Flame-On:Love when that happens, when I ran wild I once got my dispatch changed three times.I checked the IVR at the DEN motel than drove to the terminal and hooked up my set for SLC ,when I called the IVR to dispatch I was assigned with pups for DSM I was a little PO'd but got over it quickly[DEN-SLC 524 mi,DEN-DSM 650+no mountains]dropped the SLC,hooked up my DSM called IVR to dispatch I was now assigned to a set for PAR:flame:This was a sunday morning,no one at the terminal,So I hooked up my set for PAR at this time DEN was central board territory in the daytime Instead of dispatching on the IVR I called central I was actually kind of glad it took 5 minutes for ****to answer the phone I was able to cool off and he didn't even question why I wanted 14 hooks which was good,'cause I was spoiling for a fight,Might have been my all-time worst dispatch experiance that didn't involve a dispatcher lying to me.

I might understand 1 change on a wild run, but I'm talking about a bid on the weekend, I mean we all are going to the same place and it all goes south or better yet sits in MEO until Sunday night, I mean come on. I know the feeling Daylight I was so pissed, I didn't want to talk to anybody.

But as a whole I think that our dispatch is pretty good, I've never had a any trouble with them, in fact I rarely call them.
