After working me to the bone over the weekend to get this new YRC ready for March 1, talking about how there will be so much freight, so much work, 10%ers will get their hours, yada yada yada...now today on only the second day there isn't any work & layoffs being talked about again. I'm tired of spending my life by the phone. A company I applied to while laidoff called, & I'm taking it. Maybe I'll get time with my wife & kids before they're gone. Pray for me...I'm gonna' need it. :sadwavey:

Best of luck, do not look back. Look at it like this you are beating everyone else, that will be laid off when YRCF closes. One thing this company never takes into all it's COO, is the human element of things. If it looks good on paper it must work. (kinda like Buffalo back in the day), like UE drivers,like, well I could go on and on. All the people that have walked away from YRCF have been happier people for doing so. :eck15::puke:

What happened yrcreject? Just the other night you were crawling my a** because I was part of the problem with my bad attitude and not being positive enough!! EVERYTHING changes when "the roosters come home to roost" don't they. This attitude may set in on some of the older hands one day. GOOD LUCK TO YOU YRCREJECT!! I have a feeling that several more of us will be following you down that road shortly.

I dont even work with you guys and I know what you're going through. Been sitting around by the phone for 4 years and I'm sick with it too. Dont know when to sleep, what I can do around here, cant plan on anything, just want to work til I retire and be done with it. Aroung here theres no one hiring currently for anything.............looks pretty dim.......... I hope you do well and are happy my friend. Hooty out.
 
324 (Yellow Indy) terminal was behind 128 loads this morning and was working LO and LO road drivers on the dock. This is wrong when the percenters at the other terminal are not getting in and you had no choice and where forced to Indy 321 percenter board. Same seniority list.
 
10% bids are bad enough in busy years, so you better believe they're going to be killers in lean times. I would check into voluntary lay off or a leave of absence first. Good luck!

Who isn't getting in? I thought everyone was working this week, even at 321?
 
Mad as hell

I worked Sunday. i'M AT 123/MBK now. It was my first and only day I worked so far. The computers keep going down. Now I hear that A layed off teamster with " ONE YEAR " is being called to run trips at 120. The first call he got, he refused because he was busy. The next day they called him and he ran 2 trips to 135 from 120 and the third day he did the same thing. What the hell is this all about. Today is Wednesday, 9:00 AM and i'm still waiting for a call. I guess i will have to sign up for Unemployment and I have 20 years with the teamsters while someone with 1 year is working.

You guys at 120, Please let us know what is going on.

:duh: Isn't your Union doing anything for you !! Thought that they were suppose to fight for you . Very sorry to hear about the problems but good luck to you
