New york state warn act law starting in feb 09 covers terminals with 25 employees and states themust pay 60 days pay and bennys . yrc leagle advice pay now..little justice for albany saracuse redstar men.

From the link doing life provided: The state WARN Act applies to private employers with 50 or more workers who layoff at least 25 employees.

Am I reading this wrong or does it say it covers employers with 50 or more employees?

Yes, its correct that there will probably be at least 25 employees laid off but if there isn't at least 50 total employees at the terminal, it doesn't look like anything has changed to me? I hope someone can explain that I'm wrong about what I'm reading?

we were told at meeting sunday that albany and saracuse will get 60 days pay and bennys starting 4/17 09 ba was at meeting in philly last week yrc leagle advice to holland was to pay now instead of penaltys and lawyers and us later . will see.
 
benny if i had something to send you on this i would . this is the first time since this law was passed in ny its ban used . benny the men in albany have worked as hard as we could to try and make this work we hold the all time safety record in all hollands terminals . for what its worth 60 days pay is nothing for getting the shaft by usf .

I'm not questioning anything you say about this owlpuss, don't take anything I'm saying about this issue personally. I appreciate what you pointed out and I have no ideal what or how this law will work myself. I only know how it reads to me. I hope YRC Holland will do the right thing and not drag this out. I agree that 60 days pay for everything extra that the men have done over the years for Holland is nothing. Its very sad what has and is being done to so many working Americans, nation wide.
