Yellow | Yrc contributions to pension fund

Thanks Bossman. With 50 years under my belt in this industry, on both sides of the line, from having every Certificate, to, cleaning "honey pots", the internet has sure changed it.

The date on this is 4 days ago.

If I was sitting on the back line, rachet jawing on 15, 19, or 23: I might have gotten a hint, but wouldn't have understood it.

Maybe, just maybe, a copied page would have been found on a Bulletin Board somewhere out on the Plains, the Desert, or a Truckstop like "Carny, New Jersey" where nobody knows how to read.

I am deeply appreciative this was sent to me, I was Authorized by the U S Customs House, U S Border Patrol, to ship, or transport myself, any form of freight, as Shipping Manager, Crandon Wholesale Drugs, North Miami Beach, Florida: now a part of McKesson, Atlanta;

and I think I can speak for others as me that would have been left out of the loop:

This website is a Service beyond it's original intention. My thanks.

The Fat Lady is singing

That is exactly right. If you cannot read the letters on the wall, you need to open your eyes, or get your head out of the sand. YRC will continue down the path they are on to close the doors at Yellow & Roadway. Once they are closed they will open as YRC Gobal and go non-union. It is a matter of time when there will not be any Union carriers left. :TR10driving03:
When YRC closes then ABF will consider how to get out of their contract. These people are not stupid. They know that the Union carriers cannot compete against non-union carriers:nutkick:. Lets not kid ourselves here. I have been laid off since Thanksgiving and have found another job. If I do get called back I am not sure I want to let go what I do have in my hand now. Money is good, regular hours, and benefits, not as good as Teamsters, however, when you are laid off you get what you can. My Teamsters benefits are not doing me any good now anyway.

There are to many Koolaide Drinkers out there, most think YRC is to big to go down or YRC and the Union have such a good relationship that going non-union would never happen.

then that would be fishing

Would you rather me to only put you on the "Good News" list and remove you from the "Real World" list?

Would that be fishing then?
Did you notice how when the bad news breaks at the place I work I also post that or any other bad news or do you think I only pick on the Union guys... You know I hate Union guys don't you? I can't stand all them Union Mods I have here either.... I just can't stand them man... You have figured me out, now, the truth is out and Merdock is the one who uncovered my evil plot to hate all Union guys by posting information a Union guy asked me to post.

Truckingboards is an information service and we will release any info about any company that is legal to release. We do not tip toe around certain companies or organizations. We don't believe in sparing feelings... if it's news, it's news... The more people who come to Truckingboards the more money I make to invest back into Truckingboards.

So sue me for trying to pay the bills here.

The Fat Lady is singing, lol... Happy Easter to
all of my Union Brothers, Employed or Not~!
We must remain strong, otherwise, Corporate
America has won~! They don't work either,
just sitting around on their keisters, trying
to figure out how to pinch the working man
is all they do. Something is REALLY WRONG
with our American System. Anyhow, Happy
Easter to all~! 3199_covered in spider webs.

they may not know how to read but you can't spell. it's kearny

Why doesn't Obama, do something about this stuff ???
He swore he'd help the working man, his elephant ears
plastered all over my Union Newsletter for Months~!
I was irritated when I saw ole' elephant ears on my
Monthy Union Newsletter stating we support Obama,
where the hell is he now ? We're still failing, everything
is going to hell for the working man, yet the pencil pusher's
keep gettin' richer...

as a non-union driver i hate to see a union company go down. the only reason we make what we make at the non- union shops is because of what the union gets. i hate to say this but as bad as the economy is the only way this is going to play out is when a few trucking companies go under. i just hope one of them is not mine.

Don't worry Jeff, We got your back!
Keep up the good work:clap:
You're fair and square.

I think that some people are "pulling the plug" way too soon. YRC has not defaulted on any pension payments. This memo only reads that YRC may be contacting Teamster Pension Funds "requesting that they defer for several months".

I don't hear any fat lady singing. Possibly just wishful thinking on the part of some LTL sales departments trying to put another nail in YRC's coffin

Another glass of Koolaide for you sir?

Who's Koolaide might that be? Doesn't YRC have 3 months before it is in default with a pension fund? Do you know of any funds in which they are in default?
I think the reason why this is even being discussed here is because YRC has no money to pay the pension fund and 3-4 months down the road they still wont have any, they're barely making Payroll.
