Central Transport | passing out cards???

heard from several linehaul drivers that "cards" are being passed around! that this is happening at several terminals in several states! anybody else hear this?
 
I heard that linehaul drivers get bored and start rumors just to see how long it takes to get from one side of the country to the other! Any one else think this might be for real?
 
If this was true then it would be happening at all the terminals a day or two apart, besides the IBT has no brains to get a popcorn stand to sign anything. :biglaugh:

Way on earth would a driver be doing this when the union local in your area should be doing there job and not getting this man fired! Is he just stupid or what? The BA'S should be at the gate passing out the card info. for the workers to mail in then if it's a go the local has some ground to stand on. This guy was just asking for trouble. MORAN:biglaugh:

Well i for one hope its not true I just hired on 7 weeks ago and its paying the bills. Unlike holland where i get laid off all the time my union days are over.

All insubordination means is we didn't like what you were doing. When you got nothing else, callit insubordination. You sound pompous enough to have been the guy that fired him.

no that guy was a tool he was fired for other reasons but the other talk entered into it when he was told to stop
 
Once upon a time we had a union drive and vote in Rockford Il...company won...Dave K brought in a lawyer from Geogia and fought everything pretty hard. After working for several companies now union and non-union, I have learned freight sucks at every company, good and bad everywhere. The business is tough to deal with on a daily basis. Cash you paycheck and know there is no loyalty at Vitran or any where else. This is an every man for himself business... union or not.
