The Teamsters National Freight Industry Negotiating Committee (TNFINC) created a sub-committee this week that will, among other things, consider whether language needs to be modified in the National Master Freight Agreement (NMFA) to address YRC Worldwide (YRCW), Inc.’s recent requests to defer pension contributions.

Challenging conditions in the industry have prompted the company to make the deferral requests to help it preserve operating cash.
 
Im sorry. When Zollars works for $1 instead of $4million Ill vote yes. When Zollars stops using the Corporate jet - especially for personal use, Ill vote yes. When they quit giving so called "Grants" (ie bonus') to their top people (just gave out 50,000 shares to Garcia yesterday) ill vote yes. Up until then, I vote NO to more give backs. Where is the money going? And what contract since I still dont have a copy of mine to read - Im told still in printing!!! Ive even heard that the Roadway billing is being done in India - any truth to that?

It don't matter that anybody got 50,000 shares. They aren't gonna be worth squat soon anyway. If he was smart he would try to unload them now.
 
The real title should be...

The real title of this thread should be "The Teamsters are working for YRC". Because they are. They gave up on you and me a long time ago, now it's all about keeping as many dues paying members as possible to keep their (union)positions safe. They are no longer working to improve the quality of life of the working man, or any of the other things this union was founded on. They are fighting for THEIR survival, on OUR backs.
 
the barn I worked at was pitiful the TM had no rules or respect for any of the employees and where were the teamsters when there rights were taken away (and they were taken away everyday) our business agent would be out riding motorcycles with the TM and being the best of friends.

I don't think NF was meaning to say you were gay detroithomeboy. I think he was only trying to say that your TM sounded like the one at the Gaylord terminal. Am I correct NF?

You must have taken my comment wrong. Like Benny thought, I was just thinking that it sounds like our terminal and manager here in Gaylord. Your post was describing my terminal also. Sorry, for the confusion.

P.S. I would like to upgrade to a 250 Honda Rebel someday.:biglaugh:
