O K gentlemen, Hoffa Jr. has new solution to the pension issue concerning YRC's proposal to offer real estate liens on YRC's owned facilities in exchange for not having to make monthly monetary pension contributions to any of OUR individual pension funds. Hoffa has NO authority to personally permit YRC to do this, since only each individual pension fund CAN decide, yes or no, on the issue. Most all of the funds have said NO to the idea already. Hoffa's new solution is to CHANGE the current new NMFA language. With this new contract language change, we are allowing YRC to subsitute real estate liens in place of monthly monetary employer paid pension payments, to ALL PENSION FUNDS. These contract changes must be voted on by ALL OF US, the rank & file, to PASS. If we pass this new language our pension funds will be severely jeopardized. VOTE NO. The medical fund payments will be next, wait and see Brothers.:ranting2::TR10driving03:

nothing from nothing = nothing

It's not possible to get blood from a turnip. So, when YRC goes belly up the banks will sell the property and we will get our pensions? Yeah right. Who is Hoffa in bed with? He is supposed to be for the Teamsters not Zollars! He will say that it will save jobs just like the 10% saved jobs. Don't believe a thing Zollars or Hoffa has to say! We are supposed to get stock for the 10%. What happens when there isn't any stock because the company is in the ::shit:: ? That's right we are screwed. 0-0=0. 0+0=0. Anyway you look at it we are going to be left with ZERO!!!

Better idea

I've got a better idea, why doesn't Hoffa suggest the the Teamster members run the company. I'm sure that we could do a better job. The first thing that we could do is kick Zollars out. Maybe Hoffa should suggest that the Teamster members own 51% of the company. Better yet all of the Teamsters should stick together and demand that all of the laid off people be promised thier jobs back.

Come on people where are the old Teamsters guts from the 70's? Let's stop running scared let's stand up for ourselves. You know that nobody else will including Jimmy.

Just like they say on ice road truckers. HOFFA should tell YRC Zollars to SHOW ME THE MONEY, meaning, SHOW THE MONEY TO THE PENSION FUNDS and the MEDICAL FUNDS because we are all voting NO on this real estate lien non sense. It AINT happening Jimmy BOY, forget about IT. What part of NO do you not understand period.:ranting2::Flame-On:

If it does come to a vote, it gets voted in, no matter how you vote. Plain and simple....which shell is the ball under 1,2, or 3....watch 1 watch 1 BAM shell 3 has the ball, we lose.

We as Teamsters must DEMAND that THIS CRITICAL vote count must be visually supervised by the TDU, the KENNESAW KID, Ms. SANDY POPE from Local # 804, Benny Hill and members of the RANK & FILE. Our PENSION monies are SACRED MONIES, we have all earned in the performance of our duties to YRC. Now YRC wants to PAY US BACK by in essence, slitting our throats (pensions). Buy a candy bar, eat the candy inside and THROW away the wrapper, as TRASH. Well our pension money is NOT trash in my book. Hoffa, mail out the ballots today, cause standing by my mailbox waiting for it to arrive, and I AM voting NO tomorrow. I say BRING IT ON HOFFA, I am READY!!!:ranting2::eck13:

LOL, you need to sleep.

you can bet on it now if they not paying in to the pension there not paying in to the med part cf didn't . if they don't have the money for one you can bet they don't have it for the other

I have a solution to YRC's financial problems. Plain and simple. Everyone, and I mean everyone from the clerk in the office, the dispatchers, all the way up to Dollar Z work for $20 per hour until this thing is straightened up. I don't mean any bonuses or stock options or any other hidden pay. $20 per hour. That way we are all in this together, and we can all get out of it together. Maybe then some of these overpaid 6 and 7 figure paid people will appreciate what we are going through, and they will use their heads and get us out of this mess. Remember, everyone, no matter who, $20 per hour.

How about laying off 2/3 of the fat cat union officials raking in over a $120,00.00 a year plus benifits, and and $1000. a month travil expences driving around in new Cadalacs .and why didnt they take a 10% pay cut .I just looked at page after page after page of them making well over 100 grand a peice plus benifits ,they dont care about us they just want to hang onto their cushie jobs doing nothing and making a ton of money. If you think I am kidding just look up what those union officials make a year and ask your self what are they doing for us??

how would laying off union officials save yrcw? the union has some responsibility in this mess but most is yrcw management! If them union fat cats have it so good why don't you run for office? another example of blame the union first.:ranting2:

if yrcw sinks abf is next how will they pay all that money into the fund..........
if abf sinks it will not be because of the pension fund all they have to pays is for there union employees not yrcw or anyone it will be the big discount's from the non unions that will sink them if that happens

Wake up abf puts into the same fund for people who have never worked for abf just like yrc,so if yrc gos down that leaves abf to pay for all, they are all in the same boat.yrc new penn abf are responsible for that fund.
