Yellow | Yrc coo decision june 2009

Thanks KK
Boy I could have used this this morning. No one seems to have a copy of this at 135 and there seems to be some local changes to this and I can't get to see where they where signed by both company and union.
They are denying paying moving expenses ,even though Company paid me to move under the utility change.Company says going by air miles now and not over 51 miles they say. The relocation expense is it tied to miles also and what does voluntary individual basis mean?
We where told by our BA before Chicago that the four city drivers would keep their start times and peddle Bloomington till the whole Indy board bid again supposedly in the next 3 weeks. The 2 utility drivers would bump in where their seniority would hold at the Indy board.(25 years and 24 years). Now we are being told the city drivers would have different start times and utility drivers could only bid dock/city or dock/yard at Indy no utility or no driver bid. BA did not call back yesterday like he said he would and did not call back today when he said he would. Both Indy and Bloomington union offices closed till Monday due to golf tournament. I was told to just grieve everything. Would any local agreements override article 8 section 6 "closure of terminals-elimination of work". I was in Bloomington less than a year. :(

Thank You for the info

Here it tis'!......KK

Local 728

I can't understand why the IBT allowed the part, where a junior man can transfer into a barn where there are senior men on layoff, and the senior men can't exercise their seniority until they maybe called off layoff. Every barn is working with a skeleton crew and nobody is getting recalled. Seniority means nothing to this administration and I am appalled by their actions.:ranting2:

think of the 2 local cartage employees that had their jobs taken from them, we gained 4 jobs and 6 employees. The moral is we all lost.

We did all lose but your numbers are flawed. Indy has been running Columbus,North Vernon and Brownstown since the merge which is at least 2 guys which is actually Bloomington freight and is still routed to Bloomington.Did you know INDY has been running a guy to Bloomingto to PU Columbus freight and then go peddle Columbus area almost every day? Bloomington has been working a LO person from Indy every week since the merge sometimes 2. So 7 in Bloomington and 2 Columbus equals 9 jobs and INDY is gaining 6
Untill they LOSE [/COLOR]the freight 4 guys won't be able to handle Bloomington out of Indy.
Our Pleas on transfers other than Indy fell on deaf ears.Crane is going Evansville which is 98 miles from Crane. road pays 2.2 hours. It is closer to Indy than Evansville (88) but it went to Evansville. So how can a city guy run this (4.5 Hours drive time) and do anything else and not be considered one job. Company showed union bills to and from crane but not tonnage. We get full loads 1 bill to crane all the time. Why??? not run Crane out of Terra Haute (and at least keep jobs in our local) Yellow used to run it from TH its closer than both Indy and Evansville plus TH got Bloomfield which makes even more sense to run from TH. That probably would have moved a guy to TH though.
Bedford and Mitchell are going to Louisville which Yellow used to run from INDY. During the Merge we lost French Lick, Orleans and Paoli to Louisville. That was our south run all those cities before the merge. Lose half during the merge when we where supposed to gain and never did and now lose the rest. It was all set up 6 months ago.
All the work should have come to INDY or TH and kept in our local.
Did you know Bloomington sales area justifies 2 salesman????

The answer to your question is that the junior man is following his work . And the reason for his " super " seniority is to give him a chance to get established at his new terminal / town . This has been practiced in the past .
