Remember the song by meat loaf, "two out of three ain't bad"? Well we have only suffered through two out of the three major changes, thanks to the wiz kids. The next change coming the first of the year will be!!!! R U sitting on the edge of your seat? One seniority board. You will bid line or local and a starting time. Remember your not allowed to yell at the messenger..TP

Oh wow and they told you because you're the guy they can confide in? Sweet! Find out when we're getting our 401k match back will you? And after that ask your source about truck washes.

How can you have ONE seniority board if you have to bid for road and city. That alone gives you TWO separate bid lists.
If they really wanted to shake things up, they would put everybody on the extra board on a wheel board and then call you for either road work or city work according to when your ten hours are up and availability of work.
This would keep everybody working and ticked off all at the same time.
Like shooting two birds with one stone. :biglaugh:

Twice Pipes actually has it mostly correct. It will be one board, the difference from what he thinks he heard from his source is that you will only bid on your start time. When you show up at the service center dispatch will then let you know what you will be doing for the day. Seniority will not play a part in the decision and you will not get to make a choice. Dispatch will make all choices based on their knowledge and what needs to be done that day. When you get to work be ready for anything.

Twice pipes is almost right
1 senority list with 3 boards to bid
local, line, and extra. you'll bid in Jan and have 3 choices
By the way, it will go by co senority
a junior line haul guy can lose his job to a senior local guy who wants to run line for a year, and vice a versa

So what's next after that, being able to bid which terminal you want to work in, with your corporate seniority going with you?

I would believe this a little more if their was even one reason why it should be done.. Dispatch can't even make gate times but now you want them to control the whole operation haha good luck...
