FedEx Freight | Seattle Squawk Box

So how would a driver get popped for theft of time then? Are you entering all that stuff yourself on the computer?

If you read some of the past posts on this thread you will find the answer.

The way it was explained to me, is that these drivers would arrive at the hub and enter the DROP (30 minutes) in the computer and at the same time scan the KRONOS, but they would still have to go back trailers to the dock.
And would do the same thing when doing a HOOK and then scan the KRONOS,
after working the dock for X amount of hours.

If We are not getting payed for somethings then We should not be responsible for the equipment or the freight in it !

Company still needs to find a way to eliminate this problem other than terminating the drivers. They need to have a method where you check in imeadiatly when you arrrive at the center coming in on a run and you will be given a time to report to work the dock ( yes even given a paid 15 minute break if you ask for one) then a time to leave the dock then go hook and run back to your home center. Then a time is verified by a manager as being correct. Eliminate the possibilty of stealing time or making an erroneous entry on time worked for dock pay or line pay

Yep! All the cutomers addresses are in there and geographical "fences" are defined around company facilities. It will depart and arrive you. Used with the paperles log it will communicate via bluetooth and change your driving status when you come to a stop and prompt for new status.

The system you want so badly to protect you from yourself is available, but you aren't going to like where FedEx is going to insert the 2x6 inch probe you will where all day.:shift:

Agreed, BUT, all of us at my yard were given a one page instruction sheet, in LARGE BOLD LETTERING detailing exatctly what to do upon arrival until departure. It is unfortunate, but these drivers hung themselves. They knew what they were doing.

I am one of the two drivers let go. We were accused of "double dipping", and terminated after the FedEx version of an investigation. The company singled out myself and the other driver involved. There are/were at least 4 more drivers from SEA and at least 6 drivers from TAC doing the same thing. Some truely were double dipping. As for myself I was not. Why they chose just us to terminate??.....That I will never know. I can tell you that when filing for unemployment we both had to go through a lengthy review and we we both approved for unemployment because FedEx failed to prove any willful or wanton misconduct. Although this has all left a very bad taste in my mouth I truely miss working for FedEx. I enjoyed my job and most of the people I worked with. Good luck to all my friends that are still there.

FYI- The SEA SCM is a liar and should never be trusted by anyone. He may do good by you once even twice, but he will turn on you and stab you in the back if it suits his agenda. He will not go to bat for you.

Dock worker, not CDL style, drove his lift backwards off the dock this week. Scary stuff. Good thing he was wearing a seat belt.

2) Was he carrying a loaded pallet??
3) Did he do a reverse somersault??
4) Did his brakes failed??
5) Was he given a post accident drug test??
6) Was it icy on the dock??
7) Let me think of some more............

Just asking.............:biglaugh:
