Just spent the entire day inside watching football and weather channel. Any drivers have a battle story of being standed, or fighting like **ll to make it back in ? Lots of closed roads here in the midwest, domed stadiums falling in etc. Did not realize it till now, but 4-5 feet of snow last week from Buffalo over to Syracuse, must have been a rough time at the very least just to move around there. Hope everyone is warm and safe somewhere !!

I have yet to see snow this year but I was stranded up that way last year for 2 1/2 days. I must have spent $200 dollars at Hooters. I was disapointed when they told me the roads were clear

Being stranded by a Hooters doesn't really count does it?
I guess it falls in the same catigory as selective listening, which my wife tells me I'm guilty of. When their is a hooters close by their is no need to risk driving any further with those treacherous and worsening unsafe conditions. lolBeing stranded by a Hooters doesn't really count does it?
Wet roads are unsafe when there is a Hooters around!
Your the captain of the ship, no sense taking off until you are 100 % sure that the roads pose no safety risk to you, or the motoring public. lol

was talking to a wes sex driver, big back up there last night. started at the front gate and backed up to I-80. Driver counted 80 trucks in all. First guy got there about midnight and could not get into the yard till 7 this morn. And while that was taking place no one was allowed to leave with outbound. Sounds like a cluster flock to me !!! Employee's were asked to go home and get their personal snow plows to help out
I know what you mean, I was stranded las week at a hooters and my TM kept telling me I had to make it in to the terminal, I kept telling him was way to dangerous and I refused. After hours of arguing he finally walked across the street and went back to his office.

most of the southeast crippled with the snow/ice, i know for a fact that 019, 013 and I think 034 were shutdown today because of it (i don't know about 010)
and here i was hoping i could stay out this whole week and finally get some kind of miles...anyways, anybody working tonight in the SE, especially the ATL, please be extra careful and may God be with you, right

I wonder how ATL is doing..Watching the Weather Channel and it don't look good...
They have lots of freight to break but lots of people can't get to work because of road closures. City drivers haven't worked. They have many roads closed and jacknifed big trucks all around the circle. It's suposed to warm up some today. It all should be fine this afternoon.

Not running anything my way again tonight..Must have something to do with a re-freeze or something..Only Florida coming in and out..
Some say the roads are worse this morning than the last 2 days because of the ice. Everyone is frustrated with truckers blocking the roads. Only Florida schedules running. The sun is shining but the temps are around 20 with a 9 degree wind chill. They should be able to run tonights schedules but the roads will are expected to refreeze again tonight.
