Yellow | Vote Count Results on Friday

where I live, up north, we go to polling places where things are done with new technology and sent to a data base somewhere that makes it easy for them to tally things up.
r u still using the pony express down yander jack ??????????

Nah, but I do think he has to climb the telephone pole and use a linemans set to make phone calls.

I didn't get a ballot either and I feel that was a set up also and that something should be done about it.

Why didn't you call your local? It was widely
known when they where first mailed out. Most had
them in their mailbox within 3-5 days. Its a
bit late to claim you didn't get one.

For the record.....

to all those who think this doesn't matter, didn't cf vote no to a pay cut before they closed and wasn't that counted up the same way as this is? if i remember correctly the majority voted no because they felt cf was going to close no matter what they gave up. looking back i think they called that one dead on. the difference back then was there were other places to go. today its not so easy to mark off a no vote but i still had no problem. time to leave the trucking industry!

CF was asking for a wage cut........in July of 02,and when the ::shit:: company realized the vote was going to pass......
The pos company pulled it off the table.:ranting2:

Hence the pos company was trying to blame it on the Union people for its failure. And went full steam ahead to close in September 02.:TR10driving03:

exactly some people just like to B#@ch about things. I did not get one at first, after a couple days called the hall and the IBT and received my ballot. Just have to follow through.

i believe the signed agreement they were talking about has to do with releasing any #s about the vote as it would be considered some type of insider trading having to do with the stocks.

Hey lb..........I agree. I doubt if we see any kind of numbers posted prior to the closing bell this afternoon.

Just the rumor of pending numbers has the stock jumping around. See you guys back here after 4 PM Eastern Time.....DS.

just wondering

thanks reg342.....you have my word, there is no funny business going on during this count. There are way too many eyes in the room watching the checkers every move.....it is 100% legit.....count will be done tomorrow afternoon, WE"LL KNOW FIRST, and so will you...and TDU's sight is correct...42,000 mailed out, 27,000 returned......g-man..................THAT IS ALL I CAN POST....

Who was watching the ballots overnight???????
The international sent out the ballots how hard would it be now that the balots are seperated into locals to replace them with yes votes?????

Good grief, give it up with the conspiracy crap already!! :nutkick:

PS - I know, there was no real moon landing too, it was all a movie set!!

Maybe I should have talked them into letting me use the ballots as a pillow last night.............darn.

Sounds like no big problem, hell they even picked up the first batch of ballots from the post office BEFORE anyone had arrived like they were NOT supposed to do.....you know just to help out alittle. Everything sounds OK to me.

Just to clarify to the people who bash the members who do not think this vote is legit....we are not saying that KK and the others are "in" a vote fixing scam with the Union or company, what me and many others question is how those votes arrived to the post office and what can be done BEFORE they arrive under secure conditions, kinda of like when they picked up those ballots before anyone had arrived.

I have always said that any voteing should be done at the union hall no lost ballots not chance of changing the results and no one can say it was fixed.
One answer I was given was that half the people would not take the time to come down and vote looks like almost half did not take the time to mail there vote in.

What we should have done is had the ballots
monitored via video cam in a secure vault. With
laser motion detectors. With armed guards and
Broadcased the ballots live via webcam. Hahahaha!
Then everyone might felt comfortable.

There wasn't any votes at CF for concessions, only a survey by the company.

thank you for clarifying that. i didn't work for them, i just remember a lot of talk about voting on a pay cut before they closed.

I think ballots started going out to some around the 23-24th of July. By the 27th, Monday I had not received mine. I called the hall and was told my name would be added to a list of people who had also not received their ballot. I called again on Thur July 30th because I still had not received my ballot. I was told that "they just cant overnight it to me" altho it had already been 4 day's sence my first call. On Monday Aug 3rd I finally received my ballot, it was postmarked July 30th. PO closed by the time I got home, my NO vote didn't get mailed until Tue Aug 4th. I'm pretty sure it didn't get there in time to be counted, but at least I tried. Point is, maybe those who havent taken the time to mail their vote in, haven't even received a ballot.

p.s. KK,........ you mind flippin threw there see if they got it? I think I know the answer, but I'm just curious.

If its a nailbiter they'll go to the post office and get your yes vote.

If they go to the post office looking for my "yes" vote they will be disappointed. I'm sure it would be promptly destroyed in some freak mail sorting machine accident. :biglaugh:
