Cowards?
Why are we cowards for wanting a job so we can pay bills? I wish that there was a way for all of the people that voted NO to be FIRED. There are people that are laid off that want to work and are not greedy. Obviously you or your husband aren't one of them. Go look for a job at a non union and see how much you make. I'll tell you it will be half or less and that's without benefits. You can call us cowards but you are greedy!

We are now doing exactly what the company wants us to do, and that is fighting among ourselves. They know that without unity our Union is finished, which it may be anyways. There is nothing we can do about this now so let's live with it. I voted NO but that was my right as was your right to vote YES. Now if anyone is unhappy with the outcome and wants to cry over it they should go and try to find another job if they think they can find something better. That too is you right. Otherwise shut up and stop the whining over something you can't control.

I agree with FTlong. KitKat36, there are better paying jobs with better benefits out there. So many of you are convinced that you cant do better than union job. Those of you are just blind, and dont know the true reality. I'm not bad mouthing you for wanting to be a teamster, cause I too love it, but voting yes to this piece of :

So you are saying that they should be able to fire everyone at new penn for voting no , even though new penn is making money and because of yrc corps mis - management they should take another cut. Hell let them buy some more companys in china and cut are pay more i think not.Im not saying anyone is a coward but every one has a right to vote the way they feel period.
I voted yes. Did I like it H--- no. I realize there are no jobs out there at $20. Unemployment does not pay much, you have no vacation or benefits. I do not believe YRC can survive without cuts. My hope is YRC sells us to have more cash flow. So my suggestion is suck it up and hope for better times and then try to get another job. Good Luck Brother

If their are jobs that pay $20.00 per hour plus our bennies, where are they lets see some examples, dont just say their are jobs, post some company names.

I don't think that there are jobs in Michigan that pay better than what we get. Yes, we can make $20 an hour but that's only $800 for a 40 hour week. I made more than that working for YRC.
When times were good it was an employee's world. Now that times aren't so good it's an employer's world.
Let's hope that Obama's cash for clunkers will get Michigan rolling again. If not they might as well cut off the mitten and give us to Cananda!

You need to wake up. Thanks to YRC shutting us down on the east I had to find a new job. NON-Union, do I make less then you? NO, the only thing Union has over me is the bennies where I pay $50.00 a week for the family deal. No it's not as good as the teamster benefits but it's not far off either. I would match my check with you any day and make you cry. And no I don't donate back to the company my pay that I earned just so I can stay working or drive slow crappy junk that can't pull a hill or get out of the way......So quit thinking you still have the golden parachute.:TR10driving03:

I voted no. I have been on layoff for over a year. I took a job at a non union. I am home every day. The pay starts at $55 to $60 per year. The insurance is free. I say that anyone that voted yes is a coward and greedy. I am next to be called back at Holland. (because so many have quit after being called back and then put back on layoff two weeks later.) If I go back I would be making less than $40k per year. The bottom 6 Drivers are forced on mini bids. I gave Holland five years of hard work and dedication. I lived on the road most weeks. I will not work for $40k a year! Holland is over. The Brotherhood is gone. I am ashamed that my fellow Teamsters have so little pride. I am ashamed that you are begging for a job.
