FedEx Freight | Dallas

if fedex is posting for linehaul is it really to drive or the dock.
I get the senority thing but being of the truck for a long time sounds weird

Linehaul driver = CDL forklift driver.

It all depends where you hire on.
For the most part you drive to a HUB,
work the dock and then drive back home.
Or you may drive 300 miles to a meet,
turn and go back home IF you have
a lot of strap.
Best thing is to talk with the SCM,
Service Center Manager, to find out what
you can expect as far as road runs.

I don't remember anyone asking about Fort Worth. :)

roog

Well get your map out when your asking about Irving and Sunnyvale, Ft Worth is normally included. But that's ok. Then there are no centers in Dallas. Thank you very much for correcting me. Now you have a Merry Christmas. Yea I know I'm in trouble for using that word too. Oh well.

You should read the whole thread, I was just keeping a little sarcasm in it. We're not always 100% serious around here. :)

depends

It's been done before, but typically you would have to work your way up from a P&D driver into the linehaul side. In a center that large it would take many years to get to a road driver spot.

on how big a suck up you are:clap:

At Fredex, you are a usable commodity......that means you can be a .......city driver......then a line driver.......then a dock worker......or a dock working line driver.....or a dock working bathroom cleaner.....a hostler line driver.....a dock working biller......a shop cleaning flat fixer.......a dock sweeping city line driver.....a OSD tracking dock driver.....a shuttle driving city line driver......a meet and turn city line part time city line haul meet driving line driver......oh heck Im getting confused.............
The bottom line is.....you do what they tell you to do....or...your not engaged.......and then.....look at the target on your back..... its not AF or Viking anymore....its Fedup..........:biglaugh:
