Obviously we are not out of the woods as a company...But remember the countdown to midnight just one short year ago? All the ugliness with the lenders? The "11th hour" agreement? We will never know just how close this company was to going up in flames. Was it all for show? Who knows. I guess what I'm trying to say is that its amazing how fast a year goes by. Good luck to all my brothers and sisters. Hopefully we don't have blind men steering this rather large boat we are riding on. Good luck to all in '11. :funky:

A lot of good teamster jobs were lost in the last 2-3 years. In other industries as well. There is a lot of down and out burnt toast out there. But on the other hand a lot were saved

Joe, are you finally coming around or is it that hang-over from last night? You didn't point out that the only reason a lot of jobs were saved was because of pos bill's business savvy.

It's about debt not management. Galen Roush or Jack Welch couldn't do anything different. Zollars wants credit for the save no matter how long it takes..

THE SAVE?? Was it his ego that said buy,buy,buy with money we dont have?

The Company told the Union that they had investors waiting in the wings for our "yes" vote. Where are these investors that they promised? Geez, I hope that they weren't lying.

what makes you think they don't have new investors? It's a cyclical business..a sequence of economic activity typically characterized by recession, fiscal recovery, growth, and fiscal decline. It's always been a roller coaster ride.

a lot of people fell off..they should have held on
cuz it's on the way up

Who are you? You sound like Billy Zs do boy in every post you put up... do you even work for YRC or are you a pretender with nothing else to do

When will the YES vs NO stop? Notice VERY few people post here? WE are all TIRED of it me, and MANY others, It's very OLD!! I only look for updates and mostly don't even bother to sign in. It's the same old CRAP from laid off to COMP commando's PLAYING the system!

Yes vs No isnt going to stop, everyday a no voter comes to work witnessing a dead dog getting kicked... there will be resentment... because having to come to a rathole company keeps us away from doing other things...like collecting UE benefits, school, etc. So we can all get on with our lives...if you quit NO unemployment ..that simple

The few sad things about it the old argument you still have a job. We had men go elsewhere and were thankfull to be back. I work EOL it's alot different than breakbulks where I go every night. We can't get feedback which is MY original point people stopped posting because of the useless B.S. I for one HOPE we survive! Just to show WE!! as TEAMSTERS didn't loose frt!!! THE MEMBERSHIP!!!

Those men took whatever they could get, evidently. If they had an income while they were looking they would have options and wouldnt have take BS jobs. If this company survives, most of all of the employees will be just spinning there wheels,only surviving. staying employed here is like hanging on to an old girlfriend who has a new boyfriend ..your getting played!!

I'll tell you what makes me think that they don't have new investors. They had to extend the B.S. until March 15th. That's why. They said that, with a yes vote, the investors were going to step forward, and they didn't. That's because they don't exist. Period. They couldn't beg any investors to put money forward for this sinking ship.

Oh, so now your going to tell us that they didn't know about the recession and related economic troubles when they lied to us?

Yep, This recession stuff must have just started within the last month. {B.S.}

This has been a year of tremendous progress at YRC Worldwide - to the surprise of all the cynics in the industry, we're in a much stronger, more competitive position than we were at the end of last year. We are closing the year on a positive note: We expect fourth quarter 2010 adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, and certain other items as defined in the company's credit agreement) in excess of our covenant level of $100 million.
