Are there any companies, other than LTL worth looking into? Ten years with over 1 million safe driving miles. I did'nt get my CDL to drive a forklift. If I had to go LTL, I heard Old Dominion was o.k. I'm looking into food service, mail contractors, anything, not afraid to fingerprint. Since I'm an "at will" employee here- according to the application I signed 10 years ago, I'm not bothering with a two week notice, I have no intentions ever of coming back, and not waiting for the NEXT change of operations- FedEx Freight-Ground, I don't want to lease a tractor. Looks like Jim Varnco has the last laugh.

Gasoline distributors are hiring like crazy.

I wonder if BNSF is hiring right now?

BNSF is looking for conductors i am to old and beat up if you are young and nimble it would be a pretty good job

You won't regret it. I said enough is enough in May, I stop in here once in a while and see nothing has changed much. They still have everybody on pins and needles I see. Move on and don't look back, you won't regret it, I sure as hell don't. Good luck

I'm guessing you do regret it. I've been in alot of car forums and every time I sell a car I don't return to the forum..

It's like one of those employees that quit and come visit 10 times a year.. Just saying...

Lololol..you're right..what could possibly be better than Fedex?? You do realize there are other parts of this website don't you?? I come to truckingboards to follow Apostolics' accident forum a couple times a week and peek down here sometimes for entertainment. There is is never a shortage of kool-aid drinkers like yourself here.

Funny how I say one obvious statement and I'm a kool-aid drinker ??? Ohwell I think your "couple" times a week is a pretty far assumption seeing you have just posted twice in one forum in 9 hours....

Hauling gas for some of the bigger outfits pays fairly well. I personally didn't enjoy the weekends and holidays sitting in convenience store parking lots watching some idiot walk out the front door and light up ten feet from me. I did it for four months during the last layoff.

I've been driving 15 years. Company driver, O/O, regional, local and long haul. Been with Fedex Freight little over a year. Best pay, benefits etc... by far. Although some stuff really upsets me they way they do thing this still beats the other companies I've been with. If I ever decided to quit FedEx it will be for a NON driving job.
