Yellow | YRC- Line Lexington(Lansdale,PA) Terminal

I must have read the article wrong, thought there was some bonus's in there,I was thinking it was more than 50...but what the heck.

The board of directors are the highest governing authority within the management, they hold your nuts and squeeze them.

yea right....Kneeland is a nine figure executive...

I'm not sure what your point is with the "Kneeland is a nine figure executive" comment. Are you saying that he is well compensated at United Rentals and therefore the $75,000 doesn't mean anything to him. If so, why would he raise the compensation by $25,000? Why not forego any compensation and do it for nothing? That $75,000 might cover his dues and green fees for the year at his country club.

You yourself called it pocket change...the point I am making you have bigger fish to grumble about, for instance, allowing executives salaries reach unjustifiably absurd levels, and allowing the reckless spending and acquisitions, all this was done from the previous members....that's the point I am trying to make...

Well we agree then, even though I never called it pocket change, I believe "walking around money" was the term I used. The rest I agree with. I've been beating that drum here for quite some time now.

Well why don't you take your own advice and quit. If it is such a bad place to work, then why are you still there?
I am searching and once something comes along I will give my 2 minute notice. The profitable arm (Holland) of the company isn't as bad as YRC, but as it slides into the pit that YRC is dragging it into I will intensify my job search. But for now and in the future, I wouldn't recommend anyone applying for a driving job with this POS. Now if you were a useless, braindead manager, this is as good as it gets. YRC will utilize your lack of talent and compensate you nicely for it.
Sorry if the facts hurt your feelings. I guess the truth hurts. b search. But for now and in the future, I wouldn't recommend anyone applying for a driving job with this POS. Hey Jeff, don't the business agents have to stay on their own board?

Roadway's safety directer was out of Lansdale before retiring. Why beat a person down trying to look for a Union Job. Mr V, I wish you luck. We here are so backed up and nobody want's to do this anymore. (at least speak english to relate to customer) Can't find anyone to hire L.I. NY!

If nobody wants to do it anymore then it's time to raise the pay scale to attract applicants. Maybe they could pay new hires the full rate, full pension, after all, they didn't vote to accept a pay cut.

Hey that's a good idea. If they will do that.....maybe I'll even go re-apply (not), since I didn't authorize the cuts either.

Are you aware that it's common at YRC to leave bottom of the list drivers at home without work? You'll be told it's due to low business levels but when they decide to bring you in for a day of work you'll find half the drivers at your terminal have been working 12 to 14 hours a day. Another thing you should know is that you will be on call 24 hours a day. We presently have workers throughout the system with over 10 years seniority and the best schedule they can get is "on call" with no guarantee of work. Also be careful about the new part time language in our contract. Part time only pays about $12 per hour. Make sure that isn't what they have in mind for you. Have your list of questions ready for the TM and see if he can give you answers before you leave your present job. Who do you work for now?

I do have a list questions ready to fire off at them before accepting employment. Currently work for A. Duie Pyle (PT)

Along with what you said, he will also find that there have been several loads sitting along the fence for several days that he could have moved.

The other game these PsOS love to play is leave drivers home and inter-line trailer loads of freight. More important to keep the non onion guys working then your own people.
The PsOS even had the non onion company spot trailers at the break bulk to bypass the terminal all together.
The stank onion would carry on about needing pro#s, times, blah blah blah to keep from doing anything. Pictures weren't good enough and he said besides, "The tm says he isn't giving anything away"! POS!
Fortunately the one guy had the balls to push it and forced the issue or else would take the onion to nlrb. He ended up with around I think $1200 but was only a small portion of what guys should have been paid.
Just be careful, if you lookup liar in the dictionary you'll find a picture of yrc management.

PS: You're probably much better off taking your chances with doggie pile, at least there you have a better chance at a future. Better equipment, better working environment, smarter management, company makes a profit, most likely own your own terminals!!! Better looking os&d clerks?
