subservice actually starts pulling our sets instead of their vans like fedex and od to name a few?

Linehaul for the most part will go the way of the dinosaur IMO.

They would never do anything like that!
That would be a real slap in the face to their employees!
That would, umm, uh, oh never mind.

i was looking at that..haha good catch, but im sure its happening somewhere
Not with Con-way. The only way it could possibly happen is positioning new trailers in the system or moving trailers from one terminal to another over a long distance to re-balance the system. But I've never personally seen that happen either.

Our Volvo & Freightliner 3-axle ESL sleepers pull pups every night.
I was referring to the landing gear position in the picture. They are right under the placards about the middle of the trailer. A Sleeper can pull our pups fine if they have a sliding 5th wheel. CRST as in the picture does not have tractors with sliding 5th wheels so it has to be a photoshop.

ur a ****** it the angle of the trailor ur seein look at the A frame of the landing gear its nowhere near the placards!!!

There is nothing wrong as to the position of the landing gear's. Take another look at the left one, not just the right-it's the angle of the shot.
Still doesn't look right to me. But either way a CRST Tractor won't pull our pups because of the position of the 5th wheel and the lack of adjustment.

Yeah, they're right. Blow up the pic and you can see that its real. We are seeing one of the mudflaps on the truck. I think somebody originally posted this pic last winter.. after a big storm. Everybody was behind. Had to move the freight.

I don't know when the picture was taken, but wondering99 had originally posted that pic back in May.

we rent ryder twin screw tractors with and with out sleepers and pull pups, all you have to do is remove the mud flaps. granted we generally try to just pull vans but it can be done!

You ever see a pup with the landing gear that far back? That is a good photoshop though

Sorry to burst your bubble white shirt but this is not a photo shop. When me have had to rent equipment at XML the fifth wheels slide far enough back to pull pups. There is enough clearance for the landing gear to clear the mudflaps. Sleepers or twin day cabs ..

I may be wrong but CRST does not have slidable 5th wheels. I just don't see how their trucks would pull our pups. If I'm wrong then so be it.

Did you actually physically look at a CRST fifth wheel? Can you actually read the logo on the tractor in this photo.. I cant .. I put my glasses on as well ..

Yes on the 5th wheel. I have actually talked to drivers as well. No I cannot read the logo. Can we agree to disagree?
