FedEx Freight | What a forklift will do to fingers... {{{{{{Very Graphic}}}}}

How do you get that I'm blaming the dock worker? I simply stated what happened I didnt assign blame to anyone.

The forklift goes up, down and tilts forward and backward. How exactly did the NEW dock worker move the mast the wrong way? The dock worker moved the mast the way the machine was intended to move, perhaps you should have wrote the supervisor was to blame for breaking the rules and misuse of company equipment.

I swear Hubba. If you can't figure out that I as saying the dock worker went down when they shove gone up your dumber then I had originally estimated you to be. Or your just trying to get something started so you can feel good about self. Now go get on your forklift and watch out for those drums. Do we need to get you a helmet and safety vest?

These damaged fingers belonged to a Supervisor (Red Shirt) at CGT. And if you know anything about CGT... you know that ANYTHING goes. Just get it done and don't speak,just work that is if you are a Road Driver. Otherwise you can break the most basic safety rules and it's Cool. Smoke every 15 minutes or Stand around and talk to your posse for 30-60 minutes at a whack UNINTERRUPTED. Dump your freight on the floor and beat feet out to smoke or go park in a corner to share some tender text moments with your Baby-mama, because a Road driver will be told to fix that mess of a trailer, now won't he.

I had a good laugh last fall when CGT management thought people from Memphis and HRO were coming for a visit. I honestly thought Lord Obama was coming for a visit. The place was cleaned like I have not seen since 2000. That was funny! Rules I had never heard of were enforced on Road drivers, I mean they even asked the Dock hands to only use their Bluetooth (hands-free) devices while Talking and driving a Forklift. Would you please restrict the use of I-pods also. IMO, Just show up unannounced and watch the Roaches scatter. Too much Big city mentality and No Common Sense Small Town Work Ethic. Flagship- NO. Mistake-YES! that sums up Chicago Heights, Illinois doesn't it?

Don't forget seat belt.

There are some good dock workers there. Not many but some. The guy they had training people was a joke. He's a nice guy but is very lazy. Wont get off his fork lift unless you give him a jelly donut. Also the way the company is having new hires trained now is **** poor. The training program before this current one was a good one. The biggest set back on the old program was with part timers after they got done with the videos and out onto the dock it was almost time for them to go home. When I was a dock mentor I would adjust the training some to benefit the person I was training. If the new hire has experience on forklifts generally I would try and get the videos out of the way. Its hard to make a program to train for people with experience and non experience especially if you have to train them at the same time.
