I was reading a letter that stated the he secretary /treasurer Mario G. seems to be causing trouble in Local 776. He tried to get the E Board to pay for municipal workers to take off work May 6th, so they can attend the monthly meeting to stop the freight employees from YRC and ABF from continuing the summer meetings. There was to be a vote to suspend them and he wants a "yes" vote. He also wants a vote to change the by laws. Mario said he wants to show freight they do not run our local. When this was pointed out that this was illegal he said "Fine, I will buy their lunch and I'm willing to spend 2 or 3 thousand dollars to do so."

It sounds like he wants to take over our local.

Read your Local's By-laws and see what the procedures call for in doing so....You can call a craft meeting in the Summer months, but we also vote to suspend the June, July & August General Membership Meetings each year, but it must be noted in the Meeting Notice that is posted for that month that there will be a vote to do so....KK

I am surprised someone has not confronted him on this issue if it is true. KK is right the bylaws will decide the way the vote is handled. YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS!
 
Well I can tell you that I have herd that Mario G. has been confronted on this as well as other members of the E Board according to my source the statement was taken out of context but also I can tell you that my sources have told me that Freddie has finally managed to get himself brought up on charges I wonder if this is true ?????? I guess time will tell :biglaugh:
 
I was told that Fred W was brought up on charges by Mario and his group that want to take over the Local. If these go to the International they may have to step in and find out what is going on. If there is a problem and they find out who is causing it they should take the appropriate action. What ever that may be.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, all of the above is true. I heard King Frederick and his lap dog Fairshare buddy MP, Are trying to get support to defend the charges but no one wants to come to their aid. Local 776 has never been this screwed up. The members voted these clowns in and now the members will suffer. I'm sure the IBT will be taking over shortly, 4 months to destroy one of the best Locals in the Country. Good job Wilson Slate, good job.

Could not agree more. most of the membership wanted change (apparently), well they got it.:19::19::19::19:
