I thought it would be interesting to see what the likes and dislikes are at ADP as seen through the eyes of people here. I'll start.
Likes...1 the fact that the company continues to grow.
2 coming to work and be greeted by good mornings by drivers, office, and dock workers alike.
3 the fact that they continue to buy new equipment.
4 being able to approach the owners, or president to talk if needed.
5 what I do here and the people I work with.

Now the dislikes.

1 I don't like the new color of the trucks, no black fenders.
2 The new routing system.
3 Paper logs

That's it for me. Now what about the rest of you guys?

rumor is the paper logs will be gone soon enough !!! Southeastern uses qualcom and they have electronic logs, maybe we learned something from them.

voicing your opinions and concerns in a civil and noncondeming manner is never a bad thing. I guess I'm the only one with nads.:Poke:

Agreed. Not just good supervisors. Ive watched alot of good people go over the last couple years.
Meanwhile we keep around the unemployable. oh well, guess I will just continue to collect my check every week and not give a hoot about anyone but myself. That should get me promoted....

Use, abuse, refuse. When your no longer useful they'll get rid of us too

I agree with all that, but come on there must be something good here. Steady work, friends that you've established here and decent equipment to drive. The real problem is that we all care too much and they care too little. Just learn to say "whatever" and take it one day at a time.

why cant adp keep road drivers. everytime I go on there website they are looking for road drivers specially out of west chester. I worked for them in albany and the tm presented me with a song and a dance. i was part time inbound dock & wanted to be a road driver. he told me i would have to wait. so i wait, he offered me part time dock and if they have enough freight u can do city work. no thanks. I think i picked the wrong terminal to work out of. albany only has a couple of road drivers, i do like the fact that road gets paid by the hr, but the deal about ot after 45hrs is bs. it should be after 8hrs everyday

They are not constantly hiring road drivers, especialy not of West Chester. Running L/H is not for everyone, some take it hoping for to get on days. If you were not hired as a driver you can not work as a driver. If you were hired p/t hoping to go to the driving school, then you would have to go to the city operation. They dont allow you to go on the road from the driving school.

Road Drivers? As in PTS or a. duie? The PTS division is run by different mgmt than LTL. They truely have no idea how to run things, ask any of the drivers. Amazing the mgmt there is still with a. duie.

Can't keep road drivers mainly because driving at night is just not for everyone, and some may find it a difficult shift. Let's face it our bodies just want to sleep at night. I did it for 10 years here and even though you adapt, your body never really gets use to it. I'm much older now and I am glad I no longer drive. I drove for a total of 30 years, alot of it was at night. I sure prefer to sleep at night. The 45 hour thing, well it's been that way since the early 80's, and if you look into the labor laws, no where is it stated that over 8 or any over time pay is mandatory. Check out R&L all there time is straight time.

U r correct. That law goes back to 1929. Transportation does not have to pay ot. At all goes back to when there were no highways. Zoned it took 12 hrs to go from Boston to ny

Dislikes: Coldweather... Likes: Warmweather...
One thing you can say about ADP is there is a no lay off policy here, I'd rather get the the o/t after 45
then not work two or three days a week. its the dead winter and im still getting 55+ hours a week.
I am a" hard lay off " Roadway guy since 2008 that never went back...

O yes !! you could always go work for that company NCT . They would work you part time . Mike Mcdick needs new blood to suck out of you ...:6799:
