WRONG. The company used to pay for our insurance. We have gone from paying nothing to 1% of our paychecks to now where a non-smoker who does the health assesment and has insurance for a family of of 4 choosing the HMO pays $5100 a year. Its probably going to go up more next year. Profits before people ALWAYS.
When you pay your co-pay at the Dr. , who do you think pays the rest of the bill?Who pays the rest of the bill at the pharmacy?
 
And the company will continue to broadcast its ability to provide insurance...luring in the suckers who are not familiar with the 'bait and switch' tactics of these companies.

Lying to employees and potential employees is NOT the way to survive in an environment of severe driver shortages.

$100/week co-pay negates $2.50/hr off the bottom line. Regardless what the company is telling you are making per hour...just reduce it by $2.50/hr and you will be in the ballpark.

The CEO has destroyed a once great company lining his pockets in the process.

Once is it is over he moves on...unscathed and wealthier for the endeavor. Meanwhile...those who actually perform the work are cast aside as collateral damage.

Eventually this ilk receives their reward...(think Enron and Tyco)...hopefully it is sooner than later.

Use the fund insurance...no co-pays. And 10$ week. I haven't paid out of pocket for two years. We are very healthy and I have $5k in the bank that I didn't pay into premiums. I hope they keep this part of the insurance.

From everything I read here you guys are a prime target for the teamsters . For the cost of your dues like 2.5 hours a month you get all that medical insurance for you and the family regardless of how may dependents plus ya don't have to put up with all that other micky mouse sh!t . Don't listen to all that anti union bullsh!t They want to keep the union out so they can keep on F'en you guys and you have no contract to stop it . Plain and simple !

Oft times the truth is difficult to deal with....

Peeps having spent years building seniority...time in grade...only to have it negated by a greedy B@st@rd CEO or an arrogant TM/RM.

Then there is the 'integrity' thing...it begs the question...whose version of integrity is being implemented???...hopefully not the 'doofus'...nor the 'magician.'

Con-Way has become the new Central Transport...a company to be avoided unless there is nothing else.

Doug S. killed the best LTL company in the business...all based on greed.

There will be day of reckoning...and the doofus will be out.

Just hope it happens sooner than later....

LWK is where most of the night guys go and yeah those sub-service guys hit the ditch every now and then usually getting their axle hung up on the concrete as I'm sure you've noticed from the damage.
 
We used to have some real good runs but it's all a thing of the past. They give so much of our work away now that our runs are cut back to hardly nothing and the times are pathetic because the contractors have to be loaded first. I'm so mad I can't see straight but there is absolutely nothing I can do to fight them by myself.
 
think the video was just playing on people's emotions.

Kinda like that old white guy asking for donations for kids in poor countries, then they use the dirtiest kids they can find.
