TForce | contract:::company wants

They get the new LHD out into the system, they will be running all over us. Man in motion, I'm sure you all know that term. They will be coming back from the motel and be pulling loads all over the place. Then going to bed again. It may start as a run on an irregular route. They are not gonna return to where they came from empty. So be ready to starve as this "new hire" program gains momentum.

If anyone is naive enough not to believe this. Ask them how is the subcontractors is working out. Most the two way lanes become one way. The union knows this also. By the way how many grievances have we won on the subcontractors in the last five years. I have over thirty years in so I could just sit back and not care. But if I am willing to say no and fight. You younger drivers with you whole career ahead of you better wake up.

Also don't forget that those of us that are NOT vested with 5 years in the current pension will LOSE that time and star over from square one in the new pension,...

Almost 9 years to become vested for some of us,.......

VOTE NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! And only $105.00 a year no matter how much you earn. The company and union must have nothing but contempt for us. Respect yourself vote NO!

Everyone will have union hall meetings over the next few weeks regarding this contract. Go to the meetings, they will try to tell you how good this contract is. Let them know how disgusted you are and that there is no need for Q&A. You can read, Its a no vote, its that simple.

Yes and when you go let me know if they looked into your eyes trying to sell this. Or if they just stared at the floor. If they had any shame that is where they would be looking...

My steward said that this edited contract is the best as it will get. I told him that he better think about quitting being a steward because he will get replaced saying that!!!

I haven't heard anyone say they are voting for this so called contract. I hope it doesn't mysteriously pass with everyone voting no...

@Karenk, i was informed by my BA that i will stay on the 3yr top out rate, im at 16.13 right now and due for my yearly raise shortly, its those people that r hired after augst that will go to a 4yr scle, but the problem i have withit is, THERE IS NO NE SCALE FOR MEMBERS ON A 3YR SCALE. But in all reality, this contract wont pass. People r pissed about the first contract, and this one is even worse. Its a damn shame ken hall has the nerve to walk away from the table with this crappy proposal

You will also lose all time in the current pension as you won't be vest with 5 years when the change happens,...

All will start over at zero with the new pension,........

If this passes I will lose almost 4.5 years year, Looks like it will take me almost 9.5 years to be vested, I'll never collect a pension if this contract passes,............

I don't thisnk so. Its the same pension plan just a different contribution rate at $105

Read it VERY carefully,....

It states that those who are vested as of 12-31-13 keep their time in the current pension as it freezes,....

All start at 0 in the new pension,..

So if you have 10 years in the old pension you get payed out on that when you retire as well as any time in the new pension payed at that rate,..

It does not include any language to protect the time that those of us who are not "vested" in the old pension,..

We will lose ALL TIME in the old because we are not vested in the old and start at zero on 1-1-14 with everybody else,.....

VOTE NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No worries Skeeter your not gonna offend me but it won't matter if dock goes for it we will be stuck with it anyway. Just trying to look on the bright side right now since nothing has actually been voted on and approved as of yet.

It looks like to me in regards to the retirement that if you are vested in anyway under the old pension plan then you will receive it plus an extra $105 for every year of service starting 1-1-14 however with the term of normal age of retirement I would assume that would refer to the social security time frame i.e. 65 yrs of age. Of course that is an assumption so please don't crucify be for it :Emoticon_digging:

Yes IF vested, they will be frozen at the old rate. NOT vested means losing those years. What a great deal this contract is, thanks Ken.

that's the problem with this contract, a whole lot of assuming going on. We shouldn't have to assume, it should be spelled out very clearly. if you have to assume anything that is in the company's favor. Way to many holes in this contract for the company to interpret it anyway they want at any time they want. VOTE NO.....
