As most of you know, we have a 2 hr backup this Friday. I also heard a Pontiac driver telling another that his t.m said it was going to be 2 hrs every Friday until fall. Does anybody have the scoop?:hissyfit::cuss:

I only know about this friday...But If i were to guess, id say its due to all the weather back east and such..Since our fellow employees, i mean crst and england drivers cant drive in the snow, im assuming there is still alot of freight systemwide..this past weekend we had 40+ long wagons show up after the FAC closed on Sat...gotta love it.
 
I seem to remember that we used to always have a 2 hour backup 2006 may have been the last year. Funny how some people only remember the good things from the past.
 
The 2 hour back up is for this Friday only. It is the end of the month and with the weather around the country backing up freight is the reason for the back up. Backups suck but are necessary sometimes.
 
They want a 2 hour backup for the HOPE it is going to be busy at the end of the month. It has been at least 3-4 years that we have needed a backup on a Friday or the end of the month.

Work expands to fill the time allotted. When we have a 1 hour backup, it takes an hour, When we have a 2 hour backup, it takes 2 hours. Yet, 4 days a week, we do it with no backup.

really was not necessary at fac i went to got there,they were waing on our drivers, dropped and hooked and went home.. seems like no one honored the backup where i went...
 
Oh come on you all know that we had that 2-hr backup so we'd have plenty of dock power to get all them vans loaded for our fine long haul employees at crst and Werner!
 
I sure hope this is a rumor! We already dont have a life and getting back on Saturday mornings at noon sucks balls. Luckily most of the time if our freight is there they let us just come in a run it.

We had a ctrq load come back...well driver brought the bills back in, threw them on the counter and said he can't haul hazmat...that wasn't a very well thought out dispatch plan.

thats all we haul pretty much on our longest lane..the hazmat and the overflow that wont fit on the long wagons. The day them numbnuts can haul hazmat i fear is the day that run is cut...540mile meet

If the sub service carrier cant haul it, we should haul it ourselves. We as drivers are required to have hazmat endorsement, so should they.
