i think this is far from over, they were to far apart on Monday in the most important parts of the contract for them to have all of the sudden come to a "contract we can be proud of" by Thursday night.

if they did its only because small pack got what they wanted and freight is getting screwed like the last contract.

Lets hope its not like that again...

Again, We have to wait for a couple of weeks and we will see it with our own eye balls. Then we can either grip or be happy and vote accordingly.

We are the ugly stepchild. Small pack will get a sweetheart deal and we will get bent over.

Well, You know we don't generate the revenue parcel does. So in reality I don't expect to get what they get. I just want what's fair. Like our drivers getting a liveable wage before using subcontractors. Our drivers not sitting home while subcontractors come through and haul the freight. Is that really asking to much? From what I read it doesn't really address the amount of subcontractors upsf uses. Just that they will bring back all laid off drivers. What about the ones not laid off getting two or three days a week because of subcontractors. All we can do is wait to see what the language is. They are all lawyers. I know the teamsters knew what that contract would mean for us. Let's see if they are willing to send us down the river without a life jacket again...

Still a no vote for me. What about this???

This is no change in this ART from the prior version .. The new language is in bold print . Anything that changed will have lines drawn though the existing language. Just trying to help .Im sure someone much smarter will come along and correct me ..

Well.

I had a chance to look over the new contract. And I am Voting No Way........................

im iffy but leaning toward a no vote.
the .50 a year could be higher, and our health care wile it is a few dollars a month cheaper on the CSHW plan could also be cheaper.
i dont feel the contracting issue was addressed either. the new LH driver position will **** a lot of drivers off.
the new pension has potential to pay us more per month then the old one does.
the taking 4 years to hit top rate is pretty ****ty
there are some things we made out on, but some areas that could have been better...

that shows how many people actually read the contract we are currently working under. as you said there is no change to that clause at all and yet some people have no clue its even there.

Question.

On page 38 under the "Letter of Understanding"

I read the whole article but one thing I'm not sure about. Does it apply to workers that were hired under the first contract. Or new hires under this next contract.

Or employees that was with the company before coming union-2008?
