You can't ask your manger questions like that, you will confuses him. See you are just truck driver to him and all you should be able todo is turn a wheel and shift gears. See now he knows that you can think and that make you very dangeours in his eyes.

But you could use this as a opportunity to let your fellow vitrain drivers know what it is like . So you should go over and report back in a week and let's us know. :hide:

just think how much less stress there would be if they started giving information to the work force. My guess is the have no idea how many employees they plan on having at that terminal

If a new logistics company was formed, why would you want to go to CT?

I sure hope you guys are joking about another logistics company being started cause it ain't happening. Stop all the silly talk, Vitran will be no more in several months though we will still see the name as we do currently with Quast, Sierra West, PJAX etc on the equipment.

This is true....John Zajewski....Yes the great "Juice" sent the email to all the SW region stating that since we have such a reduced bill count could we spare some drivers for CT here in Dallas....They are hurting bad for drivers....The TM said that if any go over there they can't come back, not sure what that's about....Honestly brothers its just a matter of time before we are all forced to go over there. At least the one's they plan on taking.....No takers as of yet....By next week many will have no choice. The writing is on the wall.

CT has a couple of spin off companies. i.e. Pro Logistics, On Demand. The name floated by the CT driver was " Pro V Logistics".
 
Universal rail containers are shuttle back and forth all day here in Arlington Tx from the GM plant to I suppose their parts logistics warehouse.....It used to be call Pro Logistics but they changed the name to Universal....PAM Transport also shuttle parts back and forth to GM....All day long because GM is kicking out those Tahoes and Yukons as well as the Escalade big time....GM has locked in the police market on their Tahoes....A major contractor fits them up and ships them out by Union Pacific and Jack Cooper transport....GM is smoking hot in Arlington.
 
If I were trying to decided who to keep I would start by asking for volunteers. I would keep the volunteers for sure.
 
what about the houston drivers
They will start asking for volunteers to go to CT in Houston as well....Starting with linehaul then P&D.....In time we all will be forced to go starting with the low seniority guys.....The seniors will go last....But all will be over there by January....This is what I've been told but things can change as we move forward.
