This soliloquy is for those vitran drivers that refuses to stop talking :****: about ct. Now I will say it again!!! Ct is one of the worst if not the worst. I asked repeatedly that vitran drivers stop posting negative things about ct for the world to see. Now with that said let's take a deeper look and list what makes you love them sooooo much! No. 1-leased everything trucks, terminals and uniforms. No. 2-raise freeze - you guy were frozen for 5 years until ct unfroze you. No.3 CSA scores- I posted them before, look them up, your at the bottom along side ct so stop with the we got good scores crap!No. 4 losing money- vitran lost 164 million in the last 5 years, that's 32 million a year over 2 million a month that's about 500,000 thousand a week!No. 5 missed bills- you guys missed 400-600 bills a day! Can't blame that on greedy management! Now here's the icing on the cake! Your Canadian brothers value you sooooo much they put on the open market and nobody and I mean nobody wanted you!!! Not ups FedEx yrc od estes r&l ward Conway I mean nobody,then you bad mouth the one company that did? Did you ever ask yourselfs why they get rid of you? Why they pimp you out so cheap? But the crazy thing is you guys defend them to the end! News flash you work for ct already! They pay you! And to that idiot that told me to go to the ct fourm ? I'm on it!

Hey I think I know you, You put an application in at Vitran 4 years ago and they ran you and fonund out------- so thats why your next stop was CT. They were private and they took you. You worked like an animal and kisses a lot of butt but you still work there. Now were commin over, with our seniority and our attitudes and by the way we can peddle an pick up freight just like you. This is the cards we were delt and we will make the most of it, until we decide to make the change. Im goin over, 1 the terminal was near Vitran old terminal in CLV. 5 more min and its the drive I can handle. That s hole we moved in to from v to Pjax will be a welcome relief. So I loose the overtime. Still cant go anywhere amd make the same money. If seniority becomes a problem Ill go back on the road and turn CIN or Laport every nite.

Good points you made, cannot argue with one of them. I bet you feel better now too! I would say if you are not happy at this point it would be a good time to move on. We need people that want to work and perform, if you don't like the deal move on and don't drag us down.

Apparently, you can not read that this is the Vitran forum. CT and Vitran have not merged the forums yet, so go back to yours where you guys are afraid to talk. Just grow up and get over it, you are making a fool out of yourself.

Did you ever think that this was a set-up all along.The best way to get Vitran Canada to broom the U.S.A. side would be to over load it with upper management flunkies who really know how to waste money, just like the US government. Drive the stocks into the ground and make it more attractive for someone like Mr. Moroun to purchase it at rock bottom prices. It was a win, win for him and hopefully us as well.
 
vitran u.s maybe dead but vitran canada isn't. this forum should'nt be deleted for the fact that canada is still going strong. just like milan forum isn't closed, because vitran only purchase a division of milan and not the entire company.

apparently your not as smart as you think you are! Merge what! Ct already owns vitran you make a fool of yourself thinking there two different companies. The tragedy of this company is that men have given first class loyalty to second class causes and these causes have betrayed them....We have been burned and it will just take us a little time to get over it. Excuse us for not being perfect.
 
Ct does not own Vitran.

Vitran is a Canadian trucking company.

Ct purchased the U.S operations of Vitran.

This site should be for current employees of the Canadian trucking company known as Vitran.

All Ct employees and all former U.S. employees of Vitran should use the Ct site.

That should either settle it or stir the pot.

Vitran should be happy that somebody wanted to take a chance on them. 2 million dollars if UPS thought it was a deal you would been wearing brown right now but that didn't happen be happy somebody took a chance on a failing company and give CT a chance or hit the road.....

We, the dedicated employees are ever so happy that we have a job, some with a bump in pay, no lost seniority and a host of other good qualities that CT has to offer. If only some of the CT employees would just learn to get along.

Let me get this correct, its OK to imply that I'm a child but you cry when I imply your old?I've been getting along with others. I just don't play well with others when they post negative things about the company I work for! If you want to block me do it ! I'm not going to loose any sleep.

They will be merged by the end of the integration....Vitran will disappear from Truckingboards to my understanding at that point. Then I will be left to moderate a bunch of disgruntled employees with the help of my fellow moderators....God knows I could never do it alone...Hopefully with the passing time we can learn to communicate in a civil tone. What's over is over. You did what you had to do. It wasn't right or wrong or good or bad. It just was. But all you got is today. You can't have it back....Instead of getting mad at this company for the way it is, lets accept it and do what we can to improve it. It seems like some just want stir things up and not try to help us improve things. Maybe we can change. I sure hope so...We stand on the threshold of something great or something that's at least better than it sits today....If only we can believe. Nothing out there is bad unless you believe that it is. Tell me is hope such a bad thing? If you refuse to change your job (if you don't like it) the only sensible thing to do is practice accepting it and make the best of it.
