YRC Worldwide Inc. said it is making progress in negotiations as an April 29 deadline to finalize a deal to restructure its finances and avoid bankruptcy nears.

With the deadline coming next week for YRC (Nasdaq: YRCW), the Overland, Kan.-based trucking company said in a news release Friday that it has made "significant progress" in its efforts to restructure its finances although there were few details..........................

More of the same old news, yada yada yada!!! It's a zollars deception, make it look like it's all about to collapse, then at the last minute by some miracle a deal is all worked out.
 
Yeah, but check out the SEC 10-K report...it clarifies that this new "deadline" can be extended to the end of 2011 if necessary....as long as the Super Majority of Lenders O.K. it! It's a dice roll for everybody concerned from this point on!
 
Yaaaaaaaa! We found some stupid lender to loan us another 300 million to lose for another quarter. We last another couple of months until they cheat us out of the rest of our pension. Good job guys!
 
My moneys on that a deal was worked out long ago. They'll play this up to 7-21-11 with the understanding that they can't pay the 25 cents(maybe less by then)into the pension until 1-1-12. Using the same old song and dance that this is the time they'll turn it around! We just need a little more time and another 5-10% wage concession.
And of course the onion will say, "yaz Massa"! Any takers on this bet? That should put a casual drive down to 14 bucks a hour and the dock down to 10. And millions more into pos bill's wallet. Oh, right, hes on his way out. Sad!

You have to have thick skin if you live in NY to pay the 80% welfare taxes and listen day after day to politicians that can't spend your money fast enough. Oh, and have been voted the state with the most disfuctional government in the country, well, maybe after CT!
I think they'll milk one more wage giveback. People get scared with the idea of change and starting over but they're just putting the cash in some upper managements pocket. If the investors had any confidence the stock price would show it. The dog won't hunt anymore.
I hope others will find out that the kissa$$ thing leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. Goodluck.

PS: I like Stroud's posts, right to the point and pretty much true with "just" a hint of sarcasm.

So what you're trying to say is I'm sounding like the company?

PS: What I wrote in that post wasn't meant to be funny at all. I have no doubt in my mind that from the moment they bought roadway the plan was to get the onion out of trucking. No one runs a company this poorly unless its on purpose. And what looks like with the onion's blessing. They just don't know the can of worms they've opened for all the other members in other industries they, and I say this discustedly, represent. When the taxpayer well runs dry, they, the onion leadership will finally feel the members and their families pain.
 
My answer to the " clip master " on ever clip that he doesn't own would have to be NO . But you gave me a second laugh today so to you sir I say THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!
